Hey everyone,
I know there are other threads on A'dam but I have
a few specific q's...
I will be going in late Jan for a couple of days with mates, probably by flight but possibly ferry?
We are all on a budget...

I will mainly be after the finest imported hash and weed.
Not a great fan of the neder/skuff and hydro skunks,
although I cannot speak for my friends as they will probably just smoke whatever has the flashiest name on the menu (is there a super duper mega ultima skunk!?)

So basically I want to know the best cafe's for the imported stuff (nepalese charas is at the top of my list)
And if anyone knows a cheap but pleasant hotel with good proximity to the good cafes.

now on to the goodies

greenplace coffeshop very good weed
check out the la confidential bud its tasty and potent to boot you will love it
also check the chocolope that is some tasty bud
also ask the guy at the counter whats the best at the time

also check out these other coffeshops but always buy from the upper end of the menu or you will be smoking crap
barneys breakfast bar more for hash(and an expensive fry up while you smoke) but some people say there is good bud
greenhouse coffeshop ususaly has a few good hashes, king hassan is 1 of them,weed is hit and miss
dampkring coffeshop is great for hashes a full menu of riffman hash,quality morocan hash
also these guys usaly have some good green aswell
also check out the grey area coffeshop great weed most of the time

2 words stick out in this post ,,budget and cheap ,,neither of these are likely to occur ,,amsterdam is 1 of the most exspensive cities in the world ..

the euro rate is at the worst ever, currently @1.03, if u lucky by january it may have gone back up but its more likely to go down further ,,,
this equates to approx £45-50 for an eigth of the hash u seek or the best weed ,,u will need a lot of cash just for a budget weekend

for the cheapest accomadation u will need to stay hostel style ,just google hostels in the dam ,theres loads ,,the flying pig being a favourite ,,

as for coffeshops ,theres so many and they cater for all tastes ,its just a matter of what suits you ,,

agree with ojd and rawheine exchange is pretty shocking at the moment..
i've done cheap and ive done tight as a duck's arse cheap.....
coach/ferry from uk took about 24 hours, 12 on ferry,then belgium to holland by road another 12(maybe longer)..good thing about the ferry you can get pissed as a newt,and sleep it off on the road trip.never been searched or even seen customs when ive done ferrys/coach.then i stayed in a hostel room with 8 other people grand total of about 80 quid!!
if your doing hotel BOOK NOW ( alot of times in the past the hotels havent debited my credit card until i've got there so you can book before you've got the money)you might get a day free(they do offers in quiet times like 3 for 2)flight probably £120 dont go budget they are fucking thieves KLM's best(be flexible in your flying dates though you need to check some days are really expensive).your looking about 50 quid a night, more at weekends.in hotels most cheaper ones in amsterdam are pretty crap.i've never seen one with double glazing!its a fucker when there building outside your building. ive stayed mostly around rokin in the past they dont seem to mind smokin in the cheap hotels.
with regards to coffeeshops i've allways liked de tweede kamer,homegrown fantasy was a cracker..ojd's pretty much on the ball with his suggestions
try the neplalese temple balls!,stay near the top of the menu's when chooseing and you'll be fine!!IT's FUCKIN ACE IN AMSTERDAM I AM SO ENVIOUS!!!

african bush weed reminds me of malawi and double zero
fluffy maroc pollen is that that like light red brown hash,sort of light as in weight used to crumble dead easy? we used to get this in the 90's where i am!!!
edit i seem to live on a diet of vintage gouda,baggets and heiniken when i'm in amsterdam.i save loads by only buying my supplies at the supermarkets,they're the cheapest place to get food+beer..most of my money goes on gettin high!!

Yeah, I'll be back in A'dam in April prolly. Makin' plans now. Will most likely become a yearly trek. If I were you brother, I wouldn't disregard alot of the nedder-hash...
I've been smoking almost daily for the last 20+ years...and was eager to check out the warez in the 'dam. Much to my surprise, we've got alot better weed here in the states for the most-part. What DID impress me beyond words was the Violator or Ice-o-lator hash that Barney's was pushing 'round.
I burned a bunch of strains from different shops, and although they were tasty, Barney's hash fried my skull...
I'll make it clearer: It'd be the first thing I went for right off the plane, boat, horse, flying carpet, or whatever you're cruising in on...

Definitely sample as many hashes you can get your hands on...that city is a mecca for worldly hash. That being said, some of the best stuff is also local IMHO.

Nonetheless, have a good time and be safe brother...

I agree with that. But if you find a good & cheap hotel your daily expenses (including the hotel room price) can go at low as 100-150 euros.

just for giggles i just sorted my budget for a trip to amsterdam from my hometown for me
flying by klm thursday 19 march 11.30 am(4,19 hehe) comin back 4,23 at 3 30 pm(no gettin up early shit for me!)=gbp 131
and 1st page of hotels.nl search engine gives 2 hotels on first page under 250 euros for the above dates for 2 people.so 1 for 1 (euro to pounds ) 131+250
your looking at £350ish thats for the old 4,20 mmmmmmm not that bad
on the search engine the prices for hotels went as low as 180 euros and up to
984+!!!!!!!!!what the fuck 300 a night!!!!..i usually spend about 75 euros a day when i'm skint,150 a day is living easy!!..i've only had more than that once 1st time i went..you can spend a LOT off money in amsterdam i was like a kid in a candy store the first time i went..so many women,so many bars,so many clubs,so many drugs its heaven on earth

That is the main attraction for ferry's, no customs,
but I'm worried it will take too much precious time, as we are only going for a weekend...

Indeed I am from England and yes that's the stuff!
We used to get the nicest bricked African at times,
pure sativa landrace, not too smashed or seeded (just a few small black seeds), potent, uplifting and very euphoric and spiritual.
The smell was earthy chocolate and herbal.

Sometimes low quality shipments of brick weed would come through, no idea where from, it was stringy with a strange smell which I can't recall.
The effect would knock you straight down and make you feel like shit!
Like an instant hangover, this was probably due to very poor drying and curing technique's, I still wonder where this stuff came from?

As for the hash it is as you describe, except not always red (we sometimes got red leb though it was rare)
you didn't need a lighter for this stuff you just crumbled it over a rollie.
Pungent incense-like, earthy spice aroma.
Natural effect like the African herb but very different,
would not take you as high and was more in the body, but still very clean in the head, would not bog you down.

Occasionally we got "squidgy black" which was questionably soft charas, but still nice smoke.

Get chatting to the coffeeshop workers / owners to find nice import charas

De Dampkring coffeeshop usually carries a nice variety of Moroccan pollen on the menu.

Katsu coffeeshop also has lots of import grass n hash.

man its all about the hashes. squidgy black or kiff ...remember findin some well nice hashes there but was payin alot for it.

i wonder sometimes why there isn't loads of nice good clean hash going round in the uk. or maybe there is and i dont see it. i way prefer hash to skunk.
