Americano

Hello! I picked up some pretty decent smoke recently that actually came with a name and some lineage. Most stuff in my area (Midwest USA) never comes with a name, it is just dank, fire, chronic, or whatever slang the dealer want to use.

So the the strain is Americano, which is suppose to be Northern Lights X Super Skunk. After examining and smoking the weed, that lineage sounds reasonable. After searching ICMAG for this strain I found this under the massive alphabetical list of strains:

Americano (Entreprise) Skunk X Northern Light

I have never heard of enterprise. Has anyone else????

Anyway, on to the buds. Sorry, but no pictures.

Appearance:
On first examination of the buds I was very impressed. This cost me $50 for an 1/8 by the way. The buds are fairly light, but dense at the same time. The buds have very small trichs, but there are a lot of them. It unfortunetaly came in a small zip lock, so there was even more trichs stuck to the bag. I would give this a good 7 or 8 out of ten on bag appeal, but it really sucks it was in a zip lock.

Smell:
The initial smell is sweet and fruity, but as I smell it more it has skunk undertones for sure. I thought for sure as I broke this up the skunk would really come out, but it stayed more in the background, if that make sense.
I liked the smell of this weed a alot, 8 out 10

Taste:
The first time smoking this was out a small water pipe when I picked the sack up. This was not mine and the pipe was very, very dirty. If I wouldn't have offered to change the water, my buddy probably would not have done it. So my first impression of the taste wasn't great. Later in the day at home I vaped this weed and it tasted much better. It tastes very much like it smells, but not as pronounced. Upon exhale from smoking this in a spoon, it does leave an accrylic type taste in my mouth that is quite enjoyable.
Taste = 8 of 10

High:
The high on this weed is very balanced. I could feel it almost immedietaly after the first hit. This weed has a nice relaxing high, but it is only average as far as potency. One dissappointing thing with the stone is that it doesn't seem to have a very high ceiling. I smoked several bowls in a short time period and as I smoked more all it did was bring on the couchlock and the munchies. High = 6.5 of 10

Overall:
This really isn't too bad of weed. I would give it a 7 out of 10 overall. The smell, taste, and high are all decent, but the ceiling seems to be pretty low on this strain, although my tolerance is quite high. Who ever grew this week did it with care. It burns to a nice greyish white ash so it was definetly flushed. This is a bit above average as far commercial goes in my parts, and I really like knowing the strain name and lineage.

Thanks for taking the time to report on Americano. Sounds pretty decent except not as potent as some. Thanks for the honesty.

Thanks! I would definetely buy another sack of this, but I probably would choose to grow something else.

I just harvested some Shiva Shanti II from sensi that I'll do another report on soon. After that it will JLP's Mississippi Mud. I can't wait.
