Am I just being stupid?

Hey, I used to be able to take minute and a half tokes, and not get kicked. Then I started smoking cigarettes...

Lately I've been trying to achieve those levels again, and there are moments when i gray out... Now, this has only happened to me whilst smoking, so i assumed it was weed related... as in, holding it in so long it hit me quick and fast like salvia.

BUT... it has happened with schwag, which leads me to suspect i'm actually depriving myself of oxygen and killing millions of braincells every time this happens. am i right or am i just being paranoid? I don't wanna grow old and realize i caused more brain damage than necessary :S

dammit i really need to quit smoking

dude dont hold it in so long, i think there is a thread in the medical forum which talks about the most effective smoking techniques.
i personaly hold it in for aboot 2 seconds

sometime i do CANNONBALLS,puff, swigg of beer, then exhale,repeats

You hold each toke in for 90 seconds and you wonder why you're blacking out?
You only need to hold it in for 5 seconds to get the most out of each puff...anything more is just going to give you diminishing returns and health problems.
 
noooooooo, used to breathe in 45, breath out 45, always in movement so that the alveolis or whatever can absorb. now i do like...15-25 total, including the load up into the chamber and get the grey outs, which is why it worries me.... i used to hold my breath for 2 minutes!!!(don't ask, houdini obsession, hahaha)


btw, kharma! oh my god, it really is you!!!! want a pineapple?!!?!??!

3 words of wisdom that us smokers live by...... Puff, puff, pass

Not puff and hold it in for a minute. leave the holding your breath for underwater activities. Holding your breath does nothing to help a session. plus you never know you could hold your breath for too long and pass the fuck out and freak out everyone. So just puff puff pass. Or puff puff give is the other phrase. Both are tried and true. Best of luck bro

meh, i need stuff with no ceiling. that's my problem i think... i don't have any homegrown left(last was over a year ago.. i mean, last toke from the homegrown, last grow was much longer) and the stuff they sell here is usually very much ceilinged. it's not even funny.. i get the same *LEVEL* stone from a whole blunt as from a couple bong hits :S

well, i'll figure something out for the next three to four months(to train or not to train) but no more long tokes for me, that's for sure.

Revegged man you are like my clone or something ;) Everything you said I have done and thought. I don't know why but I have always had a fascination with holding my breath. I used to hold it for upwards of 2-3 minutes every night I took a bath. I am also known for holding my hits in for so long when I exhale no smoke can be seen(I do not do this as much anymore for the reasons you have spoke of). Sometimes after just the right hit I will go nitrous consciousness for a minute and just get the wa wa wa's. I don't know if oxygen dep is even bad. David blaine and many others hold their breath for extreme lengths of time, practiced over and over. Oxygen dep does cause something to be experienced but I don't know if it is bad. Once on nitrous I realized breathing wasn't neccessary for existence(mine).
