Alright guys, what's the deal with the website?

What's the story with the 60+ second load times to do anything on this site for the majority of the day, every single day? I don't see any threads or posts about this but I know it's not my internet provider because this happens regardless of where and how I login to the site, be it at work or at home on wireless or out and about on 4G/LTE. This is a daily issue and it isn't getting any better, I noticed it a couple of months ago originally but it has probably been happening longer. It's getting to the point where it's not even worth trying to come to the site anymore because it's a total crapshoot as to whether I can view a thread without literally waiting a minute or more for it to load. Seems like earlier in the mornings, say 8AM-10AM EST, it works okay but after that it slows to an absolute crawl.

Can we at least get an update so we know whether to expect y'all to do anything about this or if we're just on our own? Thanks. :tiphat:

Are you using tor?

If not shitty connection only thing that takes that long is downing the resolution on my 8gb pics

I wish there was a monthly subscription that let us put full resolution pics

its just you mate

It's not though. Maybe it's just folks in my region (southeast) but I have multiple other friends who are users of this forum who report the same issues and I have used multiple computers from multiple connections and had the same trouble. I suspect that the issue is the server-side encryption of this site...does anyone know if there is an alternate non-https link to icmag forums?

Thanks for any help. Sorry if I sounded salty in the first post, not trying to be a dick.

Cocosativas- I'm not using Tor man, but I've tried every different browser with the same issue from IE to Chrome to Firefox to Safari.

I've had issues, but just thought it was the norm. So, I take my time before posting again.

Well, we don't offer a non-secure version non https... for your security.

Sounds like a local bandwidth problem which I see in this area also... depending on the provider and time of day.

Could be your provider is slowing you down - have you asked around there?
