To me the lead in toys is like bringing a knife to a gun fight when you consider the e-coli found in TOPPS beef. Topps announced today they are closing it's doors after 40 years in business. They just recalled 22.7 MILLION pounds of beef( a years worth of production)that was destined for schools,retirement homes and supermarkets. They were the worlds largest supplier of frozen hamburger patty's and soon I feel the lawsuits will be coming as several folks have already become ill and have been shown to be infected.
As far as the lead in the paint on the toys? Mattell knew it. They have quality folks on both ends to ensure things like this don't happen unless they want it to so that they may profit. they have already admitted to recalling to many toys and have since apologized to the Chinese government for making them look like the bad guy.
But like I said if they recall a toy you throw it away but you cannot control what they EAT AT SCHOOL.
