Alien OG (CC) legit Pheno Hunt

High guys,

Because I'm living in Europe i can't get my hands on some good OG clones, so I'm searching for a very long time now for a legit OG Strain in seedform that has the quality like the OG's in California. And I've heard so many unbelieveable good things about the Alien OG, especially the discription of the euphoric and trippy/spacey head-high and the legit OG taste makes me think that I found my strain. And I've heard that the Alien OG is said to be one of California's best OG strains. But also in California clones are going around of this strain, but thankfully Cali Connection made their seeds. But I think we all know that CC produces f1 crosses so there will be a lot of different phenotypes, so hunting for a good pheno will be required. But I've read that a lot of people say, that the genetics of CC are not really legit. You don't get exactly the genetics what the name implies. On the other hand I've read a lot of good things about the Alien OG from Cali Connection from people who have grown it, it is just necessary to select a good keeper and you may have to pop 2 packs to find It. So my question is, do you think that I can find a Pheno in Cali Connections Alien OG that is compareable to the clones that are going around in California? Maybe someone here has some experiences with this strain and can answer me that. And if the answer is yes, maybe can someone tell me what I should be lookin for in my pheno hunt? I just want to experience the true OG goodness from California. So if somebody has another Strain suggestion for me, that would also be a nice help for me

I was gifted three feminized Cali connection Alien OG seeds a while back.
I believe the fem version has some Tahoe OG in it.
It was good smoke, relatively easy to grow and finished in about 70-75 days.
One of the patients I was supplying at that time loved it.
Very lemony with kind of a chemical background taste and smell. The buds were hard and dense . Granted, I only grew out three plants but all were uniform in appearance and taste. I'd grow it again, based on my experience.

Hi thank you a lot for your answer. Yes, the Alien OG is Tahoe OG X Alien Kush.
Your budpic looks like real fire sh**. How was the high? Did it had that trippy/spacey aspect to it that I've read in a lot of reviews? That is something that is very important for myself, because that is why the strain is so interesting for me.

And was the taste a bit Kushy? Is it compareable to an OG?

Very stony. It got me stoned more so than "high" I would say. Perhaps if harvested a bit earlier it would be a bit more uplifting and trippy than the more narcotic couchlock I remember.
As for taste, yes it had that earthy kushy OG background but up front it was very lemony with a sort of floral/chemical hint.
Im no OG expert but as time has gone by and I've had a bit more experience with OG strains I would say it was all OG .

Cali connect doesn't have the best rep... for og I'd look to karma , relentless or archive...

If your really stuck on alien look for oldfranchise genetics...

Or baked beans f2's

As far as rykus is saying... he's right. Cali con doesn't have a good rep. But the one line I have seen perform again and again is the alien OG. If I was to take another swing at swerves beans it would be the alien OG. Had a cut a while back that came from his gear that consistently tested 26% and up.

I've been running this for about 18 months now. It's loved by all that test it, other than light weights-very strong. I got one keeper out of one pack. They all popped (fem seeds) from Cali, but all but one hermied. I really blame myself and not the breeder - my temps were too high. I believe Swerve recommends RO water as well. I have had many crops from the one keeper and am totally satisfied. Trippy stone, gorgeous and relatively easy to grow.

love to see the current reviews on this strain. was always curious. I have been told to avoid this breeder but im quite interested in the alien and the deadhead og. it may be one of those find out the hard way deals but sometimes you gotta. its good to hear what you guys have to say though. helps me consider all options better. anyone got more pics of the alien og?
