Decided today is the day to start my winter grow room and finish off the summer ladies in it.

Real easy set up.

Basic 2' x 7' x 5' Grow space in 2 sliding door closet.

Lights - 400W HPS/MHTube grow lite with 400w Harvest Pro Elite Switchable ballast.

Bulb - 430 w hps UltraGrow SuperLux bulb- on par with (Eye Hortilux Super HPS 430Watt Bulb)

Added a Equalizer Hot Spot Diffuser HPS 600/400

Grow Type - Soil with Organic top dressing

Medium - Perlite - Organic Soil - Potting Soil -Untouched from My seed plant grow last summer.

PEST--
They Have Been chewed on a little by little hard shelled black bugs
and a couple flat brown bugs.

Seeds that I didn't find in the dirt, Grew so a few months outside in
1-2 hours a day direct sun and this is what I have...

I will see how it goes over the next few days.

Keep this simple -- Cut them down in stages over the next 4-6 weeks.

Figure Once I decide what seeds to grow over the winter.
I will veg them a good 5 weeks in a grow box. so
I will have plenty of time to clean and debug the closet before
I toss new ladies in.

This winters grow will be something in a PPK system with coco/perlite
using jacks.

Found another couple buggers this am.
I would much rather deal with theses buggers than the borg...

I just crush them and leave the carcass as a warning to the others

I ran the light all night and am switching to 11/13 today.

Thanks Green, I don't think the bugs are a big problem at this point.
Easy to find and conquer. I'm really hoping the main colas fill in better.

Believe it or not there are 7 ladies in the bunch. Started with 11.
7 female and 4 male seems like a good Female lean for my seeds.

I trained them down hard one time to keep short and that really worked against me when the males showed.

Chitz be all twisted, balls up against the fresh females. lol
I really paid no attention to them for a couple months.

Got lucky because I only looked for males as a after thought.
Had the ladies buried behind other plants.

Looking close at the ladies inside a couple of them
clearly got no sun as they are just a branch with a few leafs.

Wondering if will grow to full size ladies if given the time under the lights.

I have a 150 hps sitting around.
After cutting the main colas,
I could do these ladies on the side of my main grow this winter.

Anyone have a opinion on if the smallest ladies would still grow
tall and full this late ? Should I play with feeding them ?

Wondering if after I cut the main growth in a couple weeks I might start feeding for a month or so and see what happens ...

For now molasses only a couple times...

All cleaned up and tied to stakes for support. Spread out a little
for better growth.

The lights are on and they look great. Just hoping they don't go
shocked a little from changing the lite cycle on them.
I'm going to run them at night for cheaper electricity and lower temps.

Temps running in the low 70's with just a small humidity fan and scrubber running.

Loving my DIY silencer for the scrubber fan.
Sleeping in the same room and was worried about the noise.
Its more white noise than anything else. Kinda peaceful.

Beans a popping

Went ahead and popped a few beans from my collection.
Trying to decide what to grow this time.
I want to keep it semi movable ( just in case of a move ) and
super easy.

I don't want to grow Border haze as this 100+day stuff sucks for now.
I have a few seed here to chose from yet....
I came across quite a selection of great clones and seeds and am leaning towards a clone grow for smoke and a side seed grow.

Maybe 6-8 clones- Short veg for main Grow (430w Hps) and 2 clones and a male for seeds for a side grow.(150w Hps)

Only going to pick up one pack of seeds.

GS Cookies/ Platinum Master. GSC seem to be the new thing so why not give em a try... lol

The seeds I will pick up Monday and the clones in 4 weeks.
I want to finish BH and find my male.
I'm going to flip the seeds I'm popping now and see what goes male.
Hoping for a male KONG. Then re-veg everything till I'm ready for my
grow.

So far....

center bottom cup is empty waiting for the next seed.

My simple set up.

To germ seeds I used a flat tray with 1/2 wet coco on a heating pad
and a cup over the seeds add lite the 2nd day.

Once popped i use a fork to scoop coco with little lady into the
coco wicked cup. I keep the cup in the water for a few hours
to soak then place cups 1 1/2" over the water with the wick feeding from then on. I will use very lite jacks for veg.

Plan is to veg for 10 days and switch to 12 it they show then tag males and re veg till I pick up my clones.
By then then B.H. should be done and I can clean, tweak a little and set up the main grow.

Since I'm in a closet and might need to move them at anytime.
I will keep them short. Once I get the clones it should take maybe 10 days to root the coco and flip them.

Same kind of thing I said to the breeder. Telling me there
from San Francisco area and stable. The price is the only thing that keeps me skeptical as they are only $60.00 x 10 beans.

We have all kinds of great stuff floating around right now due to the
season. get it while ya can time.

The G.S.C is from a private breeder(over 10 years ) Has a set up
that blows my mind. Only grows seeds-Trades for smoke.
Crazy hippy type.

The clones will come from
dispensaries. The dispensaries have
Cali Connection,OG Raskal,Sin City Seeds to name a few.
Most are O.G. x's and go from $50.-$100.00 for 5 beans...

Cant seems to find G.S.C or Willie Nelson clones unless I go to San Francisco. Sucks... lol

The yellow is finishing yellow as this is 120+ day flowering. I never added any Nuits and watered from a hose. lol

For getting bare minimum lite,no ferts and hose water she is awesome. Took her a week under the 430 hps but she is finally growing again.

White hairs ready to sprout all over her...
Starting molasses feedings tonight... Cant wait to see what she could do if fed correctly.

I'll have to wait till Im in a new house
for that. For now I just want a fast, dank, healthy grow under my belt...

Just waiting as she fills in...


The seeds are going good around 5" and growing.
Pick up some clones in a week or so and let the fun begin...

Got me a 5.5" Pollen press to play with...

I have a bunch of kief from my last grow that is tasting a little better
after curing for quite awhile... Looking to give to a friend next time
I see her as I will have better tasting/smoking/grown smoke soon enough and no long feel I need so much reserve on hand.
I have pressed out a few grams of fine shift and a few of semi fine.
Let it cure a little more in a dark cool drawer.


I still have the SourD hash balls I made and smoked it a few times.
Smoked good yet no big kick azz buzz. real sneaker/mellow.
I will pass that along as well.

So I took a easy path to making my Dirty hash.

1st clean kief 100% dry or pollen covered sugar leaf and red hairs.
2nd Pack,pack,pack
3rd Put the lid on. Turn a few times.
4th Place on a coffee maker heat plate till warm
5th Smoke a fatty.
6th Twist slowly till my hands bleed.
7th I wait a hour or so and pop out.

Here we have Day 162 from popping.
139 days outside (mid June)
23 days inside.

She is filling in nicely and I'm thinking I can top cut her in 2 days.
Give a little more time for the bottom to fill in. maybe 2 more weeks tho I am
starting to think I have one of those hazes that never stop growing.

She has gone cloudy yet no amber showing yet. She still has a few bugs chewing her up.
I look Yet cant find the little fkers. No problem as she is close.

She seems to have the finishing yellow showing up and though some leaves look to
show a little burn. I have only given Molasses and water which I will do till the end.

Needless to say I'm stoked and cant wait to taste. Looking like 2-4 oz's to me.
Seems like she should be semi dense and tasty. Fingers crossed....

Fun fun fun... Getting close to having some new smoke and gots some nice ladies getting taller
by the day. New toys and lots of ways this could play out....

Made 20+Grams of nice Dirty hash


Cleaned out my inventory from the 1st grow by giving what smoke was left to a loved one
that has a hard time paying for meds....


SourD,Grape Krush,Super Silver Haze and hash.
Around 6oz smoke and 15G hash.
I just called and said I was doing a fly by. Didn't have a clue... Handed and ran with a smile.

I don't really need pounds around doing no good to anyone.
May not be the best smoke yet she dont smoke like I do and will enjoy...

Built a DIY 2'x2'x6' grow room from a portable closet. emergency blankets a couple tarps and duck tape...


Was gifted a few really old seeds, early 80s smoke no idea strains as he said they didn't have names back then. lol From the Mid west in the early 80s so I'm trying to pop them 3 different ways to increase my chances of getting a couple. 20 beans in all. See what happens....

Trying to make up my mind as to what to grow in the larger closet after I take down
the Border haze. I want to upgrade to panda film but not thinking it will happen soon.

Going with the 430w HPS and the 300w LED which will flood a 2'x8'x8' space for sure. lol
Im going to make a hood for the top of the LED and vent that heat into the exhaust line from the
tube lite. Just a small tupper ware with 4" vent line over the 8 fans on the LED.

Waiting for the little ladies to grow 5 sets of branches at which time I will cut down to above the second
branch so as to gain growth of 4 main colas each. I will clone the cuts and flower those first in order to
find out which of the 5 main plant I have are male or female.

Going to use this DIY grow room as a veg room for moms and clones.

I cant see more than 4 or 5 max ladies in such a small space.(well 3-4) lol

A 5' long 2' wide S.C.R.O.G... Maybe One long P.P.K pot with one reservoir Scrog...

Either way this will be a P.P.K with coco and jacks grow. Really hoping the B.A.T.F has a semi short
flower time as I really am over 170 day grows lol

I hope to set up a clone seed grow next so I really need this grow to be smooth sailing... Yeah Right...

So is it just me or is this a crazy amount of time to flower? Even given the fact it was outside with little lite most of the time.

They withstood the shower for bugs quite well tho the beautiful silver hairs turned red.
I see no bugs and she seems strong.

I only have a 20x scope and as far as I can see the tricks are mostly cloudy yet no amber.

I cant tell whether or not ta cut.
I could use a little guidance or advice.


My feeling is she was stunted a couple times.
Hardest when she was moved inside.
Almost as tho she re-flowered...

Then a few days ago when the white flys and other bugs population exsploded over night.

Im thinking some of the yellow is sun burn from the HPS.
