a few summers ago i germinated over 500 seeds and i had 1 plant that was albino, looked like a normal plant but with no green, it was basically a pure dull white, i didn't have any indoor grows going so i had to plant it outdoors and it didn't do very well and died, anyone have any pics or experienced/ heard of this before??

i have.

it's a genetic defect, a quirk.

something having to do with the plant's photosynthetic process.

it's not converting light to energy, and unless conditions are ideal (lots of CO2?) i doubt the plant would ever make it past infancy, but who knows?

sorry to sound so vague, it's all i can add here, not a geneticist or botanist by any stretch of the imagination..wait for better responses from more knowledgable people.

be well T2U

It sucks, because an albino plant would look fucking cool, but without chlorophyl, the plant can't do much of nothing.

a couple of years ago when i posted it on OG some guy came in and said it wasn't called an albino but something else...i can't remember the proper name, he said since it lacked chlorophyl it couldn't do proper photosynthesis and bright light or sunlight would kill it....when i went to check on it sure shit it was dead, but under the flouro's it was just as lush as the others....it was a killer strain from the locals but they said they never seen anything like that......also i think the guy said it wouldn't be passed on by breeding either kinda like an albino deer doesn't have albino babies....i should of kept that plant in a bubble like the bubble boy!!

thats wierd, i've had my share of freaks.. and im not talking mutated blueberry sprouts.
I've has a SSH greenhouse have freakish yellow lines that looks like tiger stripes. All the leaves were green in the middle and yellow on the corners of the fanleaves, and the older leaves had dark black tiger stripes early in flower. I've taken pics of it, most of them are on OG so... :bat:

on one side, from seed, it goes 1, 2, LOL 2nd splits in half:yoinks: 3 , 4, then it changes up-looks normal till maturity then it shits huge even bladed fans everywhere....
yeah, its a wierd one..
and well overdue for an outcrossing...this is my second run with her from seed, and AF has a 20round cracked also.... we'll see how mutant ratios are indoors thru maturity..so far its same as out tho..little freakier even:biglaugh:
speaking of wierd ones...
