Intro
I bought a pack of a.i without researching the strain first. I had room in my grow for 1 more plant & my local head shop had these fresh in. I usually buy my seeds from Seed Boutique (external link), and use Icmag to help me decide where to spend my cash. Its been a while since I've purchased blindly. Unfortunately I was soon disheartened to learn that many people had reported bad results from their a.i plants
The grow
The a.i shared a 600w hood with 5 other plants and was chopped at day 60 of flower. They were grown in Bio Bizz organic soil and fed Bio Bizz grow & bloom (plus epsom salts three weeks before chop). They where given just water for the last 14 days.
I reckon the pheno I had could have gone an extra 10 days.
The plant was dried over 5 days, down to 25% of its chopped weight, and given a 2 week cure.
Smoke report setup
amount / method: 2 x .5g joints rolled with kingsize silver rizla
time covered by report: 4 hours approx
setting: home (mainly dining room / kitchen)
Distractions: Music, the Mrs, the fridge
Smoke Report
Smell- Breaking up a bud released a nice sweet haze type aroma. Once burned, this turned into deep incense with a very 'sour' undertone.
Taste- On the inhale you are greeted with a flowery, slightly bitter experience. On the exhale I got a mild menthol feeling in my mouth. Very smooth, but I think a longer cure would improve the flavour.
Effects- Without doubt one of the nicest highs I've had the pleasure of experiencing; and from start to finish, no noticeable paranoia!
It took me just three tokes to get a good lift. at first I felt a little wooshy in the head, which proceeded to travel down my body. But not in a bad way you understand. More rhythmic, dance inducing.
My thoughts became slightly confused. However, the more I puffed the more expansive my imagination became. I ended up having several mad daydreams / head-thoughts that seemed to defy time. In fact, keeping proper track of time seemed futile.
I didn't mind talking to the Mrs during the test, but I preferred being left alone to my imagination. The Mrs doesn't smoke, but I don't think she likes this strain. I only wanted to play by myself and not with her!
I must also add that this is pretty strong stuff. I can easily smoke 5g's a day post harvest, but I 'd struggle to do that with this gear (I will put that theory to the test very soon no doubt!). It also has a slight sleepy hangover to it.
In Summary
I'm so glad I gave this strain a go. Just gutted I didn't keep a cutting. Given most people report lanky, long flowering phenos from it, I'm not sure I'll try this strain again. Unfortunately I have neither the time or space to go pheno hunting. That said, stella weed!
