I think rap started going down wards when it was commercialized bigtime at the times of tupac & biggie

Really did love time´s before those, when real & raw street rap ruled, no bs mtv rapper´s IMHO!

Old school NY/BayArea/Houston etc.. ruled for Herbalistic!

Dont get me wrong, but both biggie & tupac lost their grip at end times and started to produce bs bling bling rap! Bling bling has always been part of this culture, but not at these current "levels". These mtv rappers rapping about their millions, cars etc. material bs really doesnt give NOTHING back to the ppl! It has only produced endless amount of wannabe thugs, theres nothing sadder than these fools trying to be gangster calling names at records & wannabe white kids trying to be G and doing STUPID SHIT for "street credibility"

However, there are some rappers nowadays still keepin it real and writing rhymes of something real & important! Example, check out Immortal Technique from NYC, that Rican keeps it rugged & raw, speking about REAL issues, not his bank account

Nowadays most of these so called rappers are LOW gifted RnB singers posing as a thugparon

Rappers really should put their time & effort into real issues IMHO!

Sorry for the rant mang, it´s just that I really get mad when I even start thinking about the current stage of hiphop "culture", or what is left of it..................
