How good is Nirvanas AK48?

I grew an experiment plant of the AK48 and it turned out pretty good. It was a small plant because I forced it after about a week of veg. I only got about an 1/8 of it but it was good smoke. Frosty and tasty. I didn't care for the high of the pheno I got but it was very tasty. Not to mention it's done within 48-55 days of flower. I got the 48 day pheno. For the price it's good smoke for sure. If you got the $ then go with the real deal AK47 from Sensi.

Buddy grew some ak47 outside this past summer and it was killer. Long strong heady high. I imagine ak48 from nirv is a great buy.
What does this have to do with breeding? 
Anyway, yes Nirvana's AK48 is ok, I've only grown it once but was pleasantly surprised with the sativa pheno I ended up with. I wasn't expecting much and I only wanted to sample it so I only vegged for 1-2 weeks before flowering. She flowered for about 9-10 weeks. I didn't train her at all, I just let her grow naturally. You can see how she grew with several main stems, and although covered in buds there are hardly any leaves:
Here are some of the main colas after harvest:
And a closer photo of one of the main colas:
In the end I got just over 5 ounces of dry bud which I thought was very respectable considering I just let it grow naturally (no training), and considering she only vegged for less than 2 weeks. I'll definately be growing it again sometime in the future.

Hi all,
Ak48 is great gear, cheap and easy to grow.
Got 2 phenos, but almost similar.
Full of resin, spicy and tasty.
I have done 2 runs of Ak47, I still prefer the Ak48 more sugar in it or fruity taste.
And Ak47 makes me sleep straight away, Ak48 and I'm still able to do something of my day.

I currently have 5 NRS AK48's that are 39 days from seed today. One has shown female preflowers and the others are still unknown.
My question to those that have grown NRS AK48 whats the male to female ratio and how long to see preflowers?

You, should be able to tell male and female plants at 4 weeks, and that is with 95% of all strains
It's a good strains in my opinion, but it varies. The Serious Seeds version is a lot more stable in my opinion from what I've heard, but I've never grown that version.
I did find one real good observable keeper of the AK-48 I grew out from '04 it was a sativa dominant strain that stretched quite a bith and took about 70 days to finish from observations. I let it finish bit late at 76 and it yielded about 50 grams under a 400 watter. Had resin packed spear shaped buds. The high was pretty much couchlock with some head high and it was quite strong. Stuff would run me into the ground.
