according to nirvana, the ak48 is not a knockoff of the ak47 but rather is their own creation and is a 100% nirvana product. supposedly ak48 is an ice mom crossed to a jock horror dad. no wonder there are so many phenos with jock in the mix. peace-biteme

yes the buds are still wet. but i think they will cure up to be hard nugs.they are sure oily and sticky .i plan on growing the real ak from serious soon.you will never go wrong with ak.its the best all around plant you can grow that will make every one happy.

Hi dan woody , i m myself growing AK from nirvana . i ll post some pics tomorrow . Mind r in flowering since two weeks and they do start gently to bloom. Did yours really started blooming around the 5th weeks or before or?..¨

thay started to bloom like 3-4 weeks into 12/12.but i hit them hard with bloom ferts like the 2nd week in bloom.

I have been fortunate enough to see a great nirvana keeper, but it is the luck of the draw with them, fun to get so many different phenos sometimes though.

i had a ton of pheno's with my AK-48 but one tasted like cherries and had a soaring high that lasted a really long time...i was a rookie then and didn't know how to clone, this thread makes me want to begin the search again...Nirvana is like playin the lotto tho

ak38 is ok but i love ak47 the ak48 had bad branching and not so good yield.mybe 1.5 ounces of a plant .but with ak47 i could get 2 or more oz with one plant .i grow tree style.

Is there much variation in the AK48? Any keepers to keep an eye out for?
I'm currently veging these. Only in the seedling stage at the moment but I plan to grow these quite big.

I felt like there was a lot of variation with Nirvana's ak48.
From a normal mix of nirvana's AK48 I have seen a cherry jollyrancher pheno, the smell was identical. Then on the other hand, I have also seen a very floral 'green' smelling pheno with a bit more decent trich coverage. If they could grab a consistant cherry out of those genes I'd be all for it.

ak-48 looked killer smelled killer good yeild, high not so killer lol. But maybe I didnt get a good pheno. Was pretty disappointing specially since it was hightime bud of the year lol.

I agree with your findings. I grew out the 48 and it can't touch the 47. But is a mild substitute. Thanks for the report.

Do you have any more info then this? was it a blind test?

is it a "different high" or is the ak47 that much stronger..
