appearence - 9. This shit looks awsome. light green, covered in trichs, very white and "fuzzy" looking. bag appeal is awsome, not very dense, kinda fluffy, nugs look like the weigh more than they do

smell - 7. its not overly smelly, really comes out when ground up, kind of a piney/skunky/musky type smell

taste - 6.5. tastes kinda hashy/skunky. nothing real special, kinda lackluster

Buzz - 7.5. Was dissapointed here. Its a sativa buzz, can really "feel" your face, spacey but not racey at all. Hits really fast and that is the only good thing i liked about it. Was expecting it to be a lot more potent, at first it hits you really hard, but then thats it...If you smoke a lot it can be pretty potent

Grew this awhile back after reading and hearing bout all the hoopla. Amazing looking plants, obvious thai pheno, had to tie the buds up, thick, dense, meaty. I let em go 10 weeks grumbling, cause I was led to believe it finished quicker than that. Checking trichs, had 20% amber when i chopped. Would hardly get a mouse high. As someone who has to smoke mexi brick in between rounds, maybe all that sat smokin has spoiled me on em, but the AK has been my biggest disappointment to date, grew absolutely lovely, to let me down in the buzz dept. Have some left and will try again sometime

i have to agree, some phenos of the ak dont live up to the whole reason for naming it for its one-hit capabilities.

ahhhh man you all must be some really heavy smokers indeed, i think AK is a very special plant the once i grew were top notch and just kicked every body ass who hit a scubber...i had two the both put out 2oz easy and were just packed with rock hard nuggets that just ozzzz resin, man i with i still had those pic's.....this was not the cherry pheno although i am still one of the many ppl still looking for that one......i have nothing negatice to say about SS ak47.......

I suspect that it may have to do with the phenotype that you have and how it was grown.I am a tree grower and I have had Ak-47 hit 6 1/2 feet and produce 16 oz. of absolute primo bud, covered in red hairs. I generally pull them at 54-58 days when the trics are just turning cloudy. Even though it is predominately sativa, it still has a great and immediate stone.

jaws- i think you would know better than i. with any seedline, it really is about the pheno. whatever pheno i've smoked was just average in my opinion. once i do a pack, i will know how they are overall.

pop's & high i think you are both correct and you both have excellent points of views...i my self grow in soil and went ten weeks with my AK's, and man i guess i got a good pheno because the shit was ass kickin...i just aquired about 6 more seeds of AK and next time there in my closet i will make 100's of F2's and pass them along to my friends in need of them.....

The AK-47 we get here makes a lot of people (who aren't heavy smokers) have to lay down, pull their shit together, etc. Even heavy, daily smokers (like my wife and I) get really silly after it creeps (and, oh, does it creep) up and slaps our gourds! I giggle and demand ice cream...I don't think the pheno going around here is the cherry one. Ours tastes peppery/spicey and sorta like skunk/incense. It has an extremely strong smell, like skunk meets sandalwood, that instantly fills the room. I can only imagine how bad the grow area must reeks! Appearance: 8.5, Smell: 9, buzz: 8-8.5. My two cents...

Well I grew out Nirviana's version before the name change and didn't find anything worth mentioning. Nice yeilding little bushes but no cherry pheno's or premo smoke for that matter. Thanks for the report, Mangled your experiance is the same as mine.

I don't know why or how AK-47 is getting this "hit or miss" reputation, but man trigger hippy i feel your pain for sure!!!

Is it just a question of getting the right phenotype or is it an "earlier vs. later" vintage sort of phenomenon (i.e. AK from the 1990s might be better than current AKs)?

I wish I could ask Simon from Serious or the Nirvana people, but they seem elusive....

Funny thing, they wouldn't or coulnd't respond to me as I was in the US, that's what they told me via email.I wasn't impressed with their forum, for info its ok, just couldn't figure how they would know if they made it over here as a gift or a buy or what the deal was....?
