AK47 questions....first timerr

i have a newbie question about AK47 ..this is the first time...

i wanna know does the ak47 stretch alot?? how many days should i vegg it?
im using hydro, ebb n flow, under 1000watt hps..wit large cubic wool

any tips can help me alot.....thx.


oh by the way i picked the ak47 from the club so i duno if its f1or f2...lolz..

Haven't grown this, but I'll take a stab at it. How tall a plant can you fit in your grow? IMO veg the plant to size - say 1/3 what you want for final size. If she stretches more than this, bend the top 25% horizontal and you should be ok the rest of the grow.

I'll be keepin an eye on your grow - I'd like to grow the ak one of these days...

Hello blb, I recently harvested a large AK47 grown from seed, and some small SOGs off the same plant.

I only got 1 female from 5 seeds, so I can only speak to my pheno, which had more indica in it than most AK47. My plant only stretched about 30%, basicaly, I flowered it at 3' and she finished just under 4'.

But from what I've read on the average AK47 is a stretch of about 50% on average. So if you flowered at 2' you'd end up at 3'.

As far as how long to veg, this depends on your plant numbers and head room, also, do you use horizontal lighting or verticle? If you could let us know what your dimensions and plant count plans that will help.

I'm currently re-growing Ser. AK7 from clones, in soil. They get big, but are a pretty tight bush if you know what I mean. The first time I grew them from seed, I let them veg till they were about 1.5' high or 3 or 4 weeks. I had recently heard that a longer veg. time for the AK's could improve overall potency, so I’m going to let these go 6 to 8 weeks, on top of the time since they were cloned, this time. Originally I felt that the AK was a bit lacking in potency but am hoping to do a better job this time around. As you can see in the photo, I use string theory, (LST) to get better overall coverage. The photo is of the AK in veg., at around 3.5 weeks from clone.

hello all

Are you sure there AK 47?(Did they cost about £50 )

My understanding is there is only one place you can get AK 47(and he sells for about 50 quid)

Other places sell spin off's(AK 48/Ole 47 i think aswell)
The reason i ask is cos folk saying they are having diff pheno with the same strain
My understanding is that if they are truley AK 47(F1)
Then they would all grow pretty much identical(if had the same conditions so on)

So by that thinking
If they are indeed AK 47(Original(F1)))
You just need to find out how the original grows(And they should all grow like that(Sat or ind)
If you have AK 48(or another of the spin off's)
Then it would be a bit more hit and miss(SOme could be sat or ind or both)

Of course all of the above could be wrong*grins*
