Ak47 by Serious seeds.
I had quite high expectations of this strain since I have read alot of reports telling how potent it really is. I have grown Nirvana's AK48 before and was quite pleased with the results, but now with some quality beans my hopes were a bit higher. I wasn't dissapointed.
I cracked 5 beans and ended up with 4 females, they almost looked identical except one of the plants which had a more sativa-look to it. This one became my favourite.
They were very easy to grow with no problems at all, they enjoyed the nutrients at maximum doses and grew big very fast. This strain is a big producer and will easily yield 1g/w when grown under ultimate conditions. I flowered them for about 9 weeks, but could have taken them down a few days earlier I think.
Now to the smokereport...as I mentioned earlier I had 2 phenotypes, one more sativa and one more on the indica side. They both looked great when ripe, but the sativa really stood out with glistering buds that looks really really potent. As I suspected the sativa pheno was some kick-ass smoke, so I ended up keeping this one. The indica was not bad at all, but I liked the other one better.
The taste is not so good unfortunatly... even though they are flushed and cured well, the taste is just not there. The high is one of the best ever though, so I have no problem smoking less good-tasting bud when it gets you as high as this. The smoke really expands in the lungs and I often find myself caughing my ass off when smoking this.
The buzz starts of in the head and can be quite trippy at first so be prepared! After a while the high calms down and gets nice and mellow with alot of laughter. It's a very long lasting high as well. A pipe can keep me high for hours, and I'm a heavy smoker. I have smoked this with many of my friends and they all think it's killer.
I have smoked around 30+ strains of high grade ganja and this is definetly a Top-5 in my book. Just look for that special sativa pheno and you will be blown away, trust me.
