Nice plants...both look like they have longer to go then your projecting..the good news is they also look like they gonna swell the hell up and be monstrous

Haha I have grown these strains many of times.


Ak is done done at 52 with 50% amber trichs.

Durban is absolutely finished at day 60 100% milky trichs.

Nice man. How's the funk on that AK you got there? And how are those Method 7s? Been lookin at those.

The ak47 is extremely resinous, however the yield is average.

The smell is a combination of wet mesquite wood, cheese, hews of diesle and general funkyness.

Funk approved that for sure

How ever I like the durban better,

Smells like a candy shop on the plant,

Bubble gum, the taste of skittles except in smell form; pretty much just super sweet almost like an air freshener. Not to mention it is an exceptional yielder.

The high is extremely euphoric/get up and go.

I smoke it in the morn and run out side pull every (bad) weed and mow the grass with a pair of scissors (not really tho).

Funk of the durban sounds pretty awesome. It's DutchPassion's Durban? If so, old cut or recent grab?

Haha, actually I got it from this old head from the hills. He has been growing this specific pheno for 15+ years.

He tells me that he hasnt noticed any degradation of potency and body. I can attest to his claim, the stuff tests at ~22 total thc. He also mentioned that its the real deal from south africa, he calls it sad p.

And the method 7s are cool. Can see resin heads with your naked eye much easier as well as other colors that you would normally miss under unfiltered HPS. They do not dim the intensity of light, just filter out certain parts of the spectrum.

I wore them outside on a sunny day and it still appeared extremely bright, just no red/orange. Pretty cool nonetheless.

My hydro shop hooked me up, got em for less than 100$. Wouldnt pay more than a bill for em tho.
