make sure you install the pump above the water level.

I suppose you`d like the most dissolved oxygen content possible for the separate rez`s..........I use a 325 gallon pest control tank that feeds several 55 gallon active rez`s to 28 gallon controllers........Keepalive.net is the last site you`ll ever need for blasting millions of microscopic bubbles into your nutrient solution that will stay suspended while circulating as well as not floating to the top and bubbling off to not be used..........You would most likely need the thru-the hull version but they also have several to pick from as well as a floating one that just sit in the tanks....designed for tournament fishing boats ....They also run off 12 volts and are vrtually noise free.....Any A/C adapter/converter will run em and they use almost no electricity..........This is a trade secret......sssssssssshhh...they`ll all be doin it.........lol..........Take care and good luck............DHF........... :joint:

you should also take a look on ebay for a shop that does koi carp supplies and they should have plenty of good airp pumps and compressors at resonable prices.

Take a look at Alita pumps..so quiet you can,t hear them runnin...they come is several sizes..I am running a Alita 40 .Also have a Gast 80 which is probably powerful enuff to do 500 gallons . I got a deal on it on Ebay and I got it loaned out to af right now...Also the GH ones are great.Very quiet and very dependable..Been runnin a couple of them now for bout three yrs. and never a problem with them.....But I would suggest the Alita 40 in your situation..There is some place where you can buy em for about $140. I,ll find the site and post it later...can,t seem to track it down at the moment.

the alita looks like a good choice. very similar to the one i upgraded to when i chucked the noisy piston pumps. mines i little larger though. got mine from jehmco but it was 400 plus dollars. wish i would have found the alita sooner.

Nice pump Panjo...It,s very powerful.You could run air to a lot of water with that one.Always nice to have "air to spare"..That pump will last forever.
I have a Gast Sp 80 which costs about $300 and I got it on Ebay for $80 and it a NOS basically a new unit that sat around in a wharehouse for a few yrs. but it,s like brand new....These linear or double diaphram pumps are the only way to go if you want silence,lotsa air,and reliabilty.

dont forget to bleed the air some if you are not using it to its full potential.
if not, the lifespan of the pump will get a little shorter!

Yes panjo that is good info for those who don,t know..I sometimes have to bleed air off when the pump seems to be choked up......
There is so much force in these strong pumps that some don,t realize the pumps will heat up a bit when under strain.

Another affordable possibility;

"Dolphin Air Pumps" are a very good buys with their 5 star model available @ about $30 on up US dollars from aquarium supply sites/ stores.

Their Five Star model is rated for a 250 gallon tank with 4 outlets w/ an adjustable air flow Rheostat that runs on 12Watts.
It pumps 540 L/hr (9 L/min) of air @ 3.5 P.S.I.
