air filters

How many cfm's do I add if I want to put on a carbon air filter on ? Its a 2x4 closte with a 400 watt hid syetem , Which size carbon air filter would be good to get ? Im confused by what their size means and the search brings up nothing

Get a filter with a higher CFM rating than the CFM rating of your fan. Calculate cu. ft. of your space and get a fan that will move at least 3 times your space cf per minute. Good luck. -granger

A 400 watt hid can easily be cooled with 200-300 cfm fan. The filter should at least match the fan's cfm or better yet a little overkill. Use a closed hood for maximum efficiency. Good luck with your grow!
