You need to be getting an inline fan of some sort man with a CFM rating of at least 172. well here are my questions for ya!

1.)What kind of light are u using?
2.)What are you using to cool your light? cooltube?
3.)If using a cooltube, What is the Diameter 4-6-8-10 inch?
4.)Where are you ducting the air out to.?
5.)what do you mean by Air cooling? fan blowing on the bulb itself?

your going to need a centifugal fan like a Ruck or RVK or Elicent, something with enough power to do the job!

are squirrel cage blowers loud?? for the most part that is, generally speaking. They look noisy as hell but i am most likely wrong. . .

yup blowers/Squirrel cage fans are the more noiser of the two type (blowers/squirrel vs centrifugals/inline)

You can use Squirrel cage blowers with minimal noise, Suspend the blower in with bunji straps, this will cut down on the vibration, the noise is not that big of deal, even with a 265 Cfm. Attics are a pain in the Arse because of heat issues, You might want to look into ducting cold air in and venting ,Via cooltube, out of the room completley, this will save you from getting heat stressed plants. You might as well spend a little money now because you have potential to make it up at harvest time......just a thought bud. :joint:

i forgot to mention that i was most liekly (not 100%) moving next year. . so i dont want to be putting down an assload of money on this one "project" i do want it to work to its best but would there me a cheaper and easier way of cooling my room than that cooltubes, they look expensive, my room is 4 x 2 x 7.5 high, closet, no doors open (i have locked door of course) no light leaks everything is beautiful, cept the heat. . .

squirrel cage/blowers arent that bad. I use a dayton 465 in my flowering closet hanging with bungee cords, the only time i hear it is when i open my closet and its only air movement you hear. I have a squirrel cage in my veg closet, also hanging with bungees. I had it bolted to the ceiling before and it was noisy as hell, now you cant even hear it even when im in the room working, the oscillating fan is louder.

Hey Rasta - I used a 265cfm Dayton on my intake air for my closet and it wasn't that noisy. Kinda sounded like the air conditioning when running. I also used a Hurricane 630cfm centrifigal fan to cool my two 400 watt HPS lamps and it also exhausted the room through the lights. With both the 265 and the 630, the noise was minimal and my closet sat right next to my living room. Like I said, the noise sounded like the air conditioning was running. Not bad at all.
