can you use an air cooler instead of an ac unit?

these are loads cheeper to run and alot cheeper to buy

i have a 120 darkroom tent and the temps are a little high 80 - 84f

the problem with coolers is they really put out alot of humidity, ok for veg but a bit high for flower.

If you have a way to dry the air it would prob work great

I hear those things dont cool ambient temps, only lower the temps of stuff directly in it's breeze by a few degrees + "wind chill". For example on a 600w light it would probably do jack squat

Swamp coolers? I personally don't like those things for growing.
