Air cooled hood exhaust system?

Hello ICmag community

I'm in the middle of my first grow, and was hoping for some suggestions.

I recently installed my 600W metal halide light system, with the easy cool 8 reflector and 8" ducting. I am growing in a 4' by 4' growlab120, and the temps are about 95F. I was wondering what exhaust fan you would suggest to cool the hood enough to level temps at 85F? I'm currently looking at blowers and inline fans as possibilities, but not sure how much cfm I need. Thanks, peace.

So wait, you have 8" hoods glassed and ducted, with no fans? Good way to burn your bulbs up. You know 95* is way too hot, even if you were using CO2 you'd want it to top out around 85*.

With one reflector a 6" Vortex is plenty, I cooled 4 of them with one 6" and even at half speed my exhaust air (off the last hood) was only about 100*F. Keep it around that temp and you'll be fine, use a fan speed controller to dial it in.

I currently have a makeshift setup with a desk fan, sorry I didnt mention that. How much cfm do I need? Is 250 enough for a 600W?

thanks for the help guys, I'm leaning toward a 6in vortex with a speed controller I suppose. I will be using a carbon scrubber, but that'll be a separate system that I'll take care of later. Thanks again, peace
