Air Conditioner question.

I have a 14000 btu stand in room unit and was wondering what the best way to utilize all the coldness would be. I currently have a floor fan that really pumps the air out. I guess my q really is should i use the floor fan right under the ac so it pushes the air around faster or should i have the floor fan a few feet away from the ac unit? Does the ac work better without the help of a fan? Thanks for any input or help.

i like to have my wall-mounted oscilating fan above the a/c unit. another osc. fan for below the canopy and a few more fans randomly on the walls.

as for your sitch. id try and get a wallmount osc, for the unit, otherwise id have the fan pointed up right infront of the cold output.

i like to use 2 per 1k
i use the wall mounts from walmart 19.99 they blow some air i think the brand name is "homes"
