air conditioner problem

ok so heres my delima i have a portable airconditioner but they suck ass so i have this idea for a box to build around a window unit since i cannot have one in the window since it would look suspicious

but my problem is the physiscs of this thing

the exaust has to have an intake seperate from the cold air intake so that you dont exaust cold air

but i was thinking isnt it not going to be able to exaust since all air is exausting from a tube id have a small fan on the end

The hot end doesnt have a intake, it just pump out hot air, so your design will work just fine. I think i've seen someone on here who did the same thing and made there box from sheet metal, dont remember who though.Another thing you are gonna need a good size fan to handle all the heat from the hot end or else you'll have problems. Dr. G what i ment by hot end was the arrow that shows hot air exhaust. But what the side grill is for is to let air circulate around the compressor so you dont have a heat build up which you dont need, cause that what the exhaust fan will be doing.Sorry for not making my self clear

but that would just create a suction onto the unit itself it needs some kind of intake

i have a whole newplan im just going to trap off half the room just exaust the hot air from the back leaving ports open

This wasnt the one i saw but check it out hope those help, and its pretty easy to do nothing duct tape and a rubbermaid tub can fix
