Air Bomz CO2 Small Grow Light Activated Dispensor

Has anyone tried or have any thoughts on this CO2 device?

The replacement cans are £6 ($7.81) for 1 litre (1.76 pints), how long would this last in a 3.6 m³ (126 ft³) sealed tent do you think?

1L of Co2 is 2.238lbs. 20# Co2 bottles are regularly exchanged for $20-40; if you just walk into a hydro store I think they charge $30-35. Initial cost of the cylinder is $25-200, depending on the type (steel/aluminum) and age of the cylinder. Second hand cylinders can be found fairly cheap if you look. That’s a one time cost, after that you’re only paying for the refills. You can do the math, but you’ll find that those little 1L bottles are quite expensive in comparison. Cool concept, maybe for a micro stealth cab, but not practical if there’s any way you can stick a Co2 bottle somewhere (a 20# bottle isn’t all that big and weighs around 40# full). Looks like you’ll be stuck getting your Co2 exclusively from that co as well as I have never seen a refillable 1L can in circulation, where as with a traditional 20# cylinder, any hydro store, or welding supply store will be able to exchange your empty tank for a full tank on the spot. Some places will refill your tank on the spot, but that isn’t very common any more, usually everything is exchanged nowadays.

Thanks for the reply. Having looked around at netpinions it seems like it is an inefficient way to provide CO2. Someone was saying the refill cans are very light so I suspect the cans don't have liquid CO2 in them. Somebody else was saying that they went through two cans a week, which will add up over a grow. The only sensor it has is light activated so it is just periodically giving a squirt regardless of the ppms in the space. I imaging most of your money would go on cans as opposed to CO2.

So for those reasons I am out.

Hey Chris.

Sure you need more CO2?
I run my growtent pulling air from the house.
We are two adults and a child. Having the light on at night with the family home, i meassure 800-1000ppm.

My CO2 solution has been more about getting fresh air with low CO2 for final maturation..

Go on Amazon or ebay and look for EXHALE Co2 generators. Last about 6 months and the results are SPECTACULAR. I was shocked by the change in my plants when I added Co2.
