so all 56 NBA refs BET in CASINOS on games?? hmmm CROOKED AS ****!!!!! that SHAMES me as a fan of the sport for the last 24 years of my life in the USA. this to me is incredible as it hought that the world of basketball was virginal or at leastnot such a raging gambling whore LOL.... if its that rampant in the NBA arguably the 3rd most popular game after baseball even i would assume all the sports are corrupted under some formal casino betting scheme....shti is just sick...we are a shameful society taht lives to cheat the wold out of everything that is right and moral...

The refs didn't bet on basketball games, they were just in casinos playing slots or whatever.

I still don't care. Wouldn't matter if they bet on games to me. So long as they called the game fairly. In BBall it would be hard to keep track of who to call fouls on without being completely obvious, and furthermore, unless all the refs were in it to throw the game, I don't see it happening. We have all seen horribly called games, like Miami and Dallas, with DHead charging in with his head down, throwing up shit, and getting a foul called. Some of the worst calls I have ever seen were in that series.

As I read it, the article is saying that when you have penalties that are too harsh for something most people do, and these penalties are unevenly enforced, it is time to revamp the system because it doesn't work. If only our elected officials would approach marijuana this way, we'd all be calling them geniuses!

Just like anything else, there will always be a few bad apples ready to ruin the bushel.
