After 17 years, spidermites finally caught me

I'll share a bit so others will know what to do. I'm sure that this has been discussed before, but there are always new growers.
I grow an indoor clone and seed system, about 200-300 plants total. Very sealed and protected room, protected vent. I was gone for a week, really no problem usually takes a few hours to reset systems and timers so I can leave it for up to 7 days or so.
I leave on a Mon, return on Sun. to complete devastation. I first thought the ferts had fuct up and did this damage. Low and fucking behold, those cocksucking spidermites had killed every plant less than 4 weeks old and the flowering plants beautiful white preflowers were wilted and brown!
I have always known about these fucking parasites and figured with early warnings I could keep it in hand.

So, I decided to use a product called Organicide. It works wonderfully and besides smelling like a fish farm, does no harm.
I had to use it repeatedly early on. I give everything an application about every 4-6 days and new sprouts within one day of sprouting. After 2 weeks I found that just using it once a week keeps those fuckers nearly all killed off. I guess I will never be rid of them until I strip and sterilize, but for $20.00 organicide will make 30 gallons. It works and is easy to apply with a spray bottle.

It's not if, but when, this will happen to you.

thats some scary shit but real every new grower should see it. that is what happens if ya let a few mites live. floramite forbid combo keeps em down for me but also keep neem and a few other things around.

Had we all known this we could have sent u some yrs ago,

17yrs is a pretty good record to have ...10X loop , all clones inspected
& all clones/plants dipped twice b4 settling into last flower stage .

I went away for a few days and came back to that, about 30 mother plants fucked although somehow managed to get a few to survive. I threw everything out, bombed the grow area and have not seen them since.

It's amazing how quickly they multiply and destroy you, a very cunning little animal. That was the first big attack I had in about 12 years, unfortunately I was away at the time and could not defend the aggressor, eternal vigilance is required.

wow that's crazy.

I had some mums brought to me from Denver and they were infested some. Being new to this, I didn't really catch on too quickly.

They never exploded in population, and just the laziest of efforts has kept them at bay it seems.

But I fear them greatly because of tales like this.

Spinosad (Montery Garden Spray) is what I use mostly, though I've also been trying to apply neem spray as well. Just never enough time to give them the attention they need.
