This herb was grown indoors in soil. It's a popular cut in northern cali - I haven't grown much before but am setting up a room now and I am thinking about trying this one since I am pretty sure I can get some clones.
I like to smoke this herb in the daytime, mostly, since the high can be pretty intense and upbeat. I like it a lot and it's a nice change of pace from the more trendy kushes and purples.
The smell of the herb in the jar reminds me of a Pier One store or the scented candle section of a walmart or something. Really intense potpurri - spicy and floral. When ground, the smell gets more skunky.
The taste is spicy, pungent, a little putrid or perhaps sour. There is no piney, minty, grapey or hashiness about it. There is a slight fuel taste.
These buds are dried and cured especially nicely, in my opinion. They are plump and resistant to the squeeze. They are not particularly dense compared to a kush, they almost have a spongecake like texture to them. They have lots of nice trichomes all over them but are certainly buds out there with more outrageous trich development.
The high is clear-headed and energetic. It's a good one for mountain biking, hiking or otherwise being outside. Also good for playing or listening to music. I don't like to smoke it all day, either, or else I'll end up taking a nap since it can leave you a little worn out after it wears off. Not my choice for indoor activities like going to the mall or navigating crowded spaces, either. The high hits hard at first and then levels off and lasts for about an hour. . then the residuals last another good hour.
This is a really cool trainwreck cross, in my opinion. It has a lot of the trainwreck high intact - the main influence of the afghani seems to be in the physical structure of the bud . . it's denser, more compact and less stringy than straight trainwreck and it looks easier to grow. I Hope to find out soon!
