Me and my Dad were have this conversation about this and i was just wondering what people think about this subject


what i think is its straight up BS kinda just like a way for the USA to be raciest...

Like when are all people goin to be treated = ima white so ima not in the shoes of anyone else but i have black friends... and they say its a good thing and ima like u are the one being raciest ETC....

Gotta say fuck it. But keep in mind affirmative action is not only race related, it also includes women. The whole policy is pretty damn lame.

Other races have come a long way, yet they still face many problems. I believe it's a crutch that is still keeping them crippled instead of making everyone equal where they deserve.

I think it's also incredibly stupid how another race can get into a school or job even if the white person is more qualified, they are just trying to be diverse...

Whats makes it even worse, is that its supposed to be affirmative action for American blacks, but it actually ends up only benefiting foreign blacks! So the whole reason of having it in the first place isn't even working!

The American Democratic System. A Small group of people want something to benefit them and only them. TheY pay someone to convince an even smaller group that is a great idea. The Very Small Force it upon the masses for the greater good. The Greater good being they will soon be re-elected by an uninformed voting population.

Exactly, Yummy. You can't help everybody if you're putting one particular group or another above the rest. Affirmative action still boils down to basic racism just as much as the No Child Left Behind act boils down to class/income descrimination (but that one's a whole 'nother ball game)

same over in the uk, if a company has too many healthy white employees, they have to start hiring disabled or ethnic minorities into new vacancies in order to comply with the law. When are we just going to say, best person for the job gets it? Forget sex, race, number of legs, ability to stay in reality etc, and just hire the best folks for the job. There are anti discrimination laws for every group, other than white people. It seems the only racism allowed in the world these days is against the whites. Which is strange, becasue in the world, white people are an ethnic minority.

I agree with you, GMT. Just to illustrate your point there a bit, last year, Wolf went in for a few interviews at a local company affiliated with a few NASA-contracted companies. He thought he'd nailed the job until someone else landed it.
The differences between Wolf & the other guy? Wolf has the degrees, field experience & licenses to have done the job, the other guy only had a GED, no college, no field experience, no licenses. Why was a unqualified person handed the job on a silver platter? Wolf's white, the guy that got it was black. Translation: Affirmative Action---they needed a few more black folks as to not break the "law". That was the explaination they gave Wolf when they told him he didn't get the job.

Why is it legal to give unqualified people jobs instead of the folks who went to college to do those jobs?? What's the point of a higher education if you're going to be beat out for those higher education jobs because companies have/need to keep the employees diverse in skin color??

we are about 10% of the world's population
down from 30% in 1930.

i have an uneasy feeling about the affirmative action laws being thrown out though. like the us supreme court just ruled against an aa case.

we meaningg white people are going to be a minority in all 50 states by 2050 according to the un experts. a few years ago pres. bill clinton spoke at the university of oregon and got a standing ovation from all the stupid white students when he said that we would be a minority in 2050.

by then we will have gotten rid of the affirmative action protections, and we will be doomed.
they will not treat us as well as we have treated them

Affirmative action is ridiculous and demeans those who it proclaims to be helping. Allowing people of color to have special treatment in school or the work place is just like telling them they are less than us and therfore need help to be equal. These laws are racist and unjust. Me...yes I'm white, but I don't see color of skin or country of origin when i'm making a judgement about a person. Niether should anybody else. A person should be judged by there merit, there additude, and ther actions. Not there skin color.




I think to myself one day in the future when we are no longer the majority, there will be reverse affirmative action. And all kinds of short fat white guys playing in the N.B.A.
