I love mj seeds, there is such a variety of shapes, sizes and colors!
So I figured I'd start a thread of AF seed pictures.
Let's start with some various Masterlow seeds
Masterlow circa 2006
These seeds are not original Mdanzig seeds, they are F2 or F3s (iirc) made from his original seeds
These were the first AF seeds I ever got. This is the seed batch that the male Masterlow came from that gave me the little bit of pollen to make the first (PBSxSDIBL) x ML seeds that I'm working on trying to bring to full AF
Masterlow (short pheno)
Masterlow (tall pheno)
Both pheno's above are from the same source
Masterlow#1 F2
Masterlow #2 F2
I grew out some seeds from the above 2 batches and ended up with a female from Masterlow#2 F2 and a male from Masterlow#1 F2. I used these to make Masterlow F3 seeds shown below
As you can see in these pictures of various Masterlow seeds from various sources, they all have rather thick shells and some aren't even really round and smooth.
What I find interesting is what happened with the Masterlow F3s I made. They are all dark, round, smaller and thinner shelled. I've found that they crack very easily compared to the other Masterlows I've tried. No pre-cracking or scuffing needed.
Masterlow F3
That's it for the Masterlow, on to some different strains.
Mossy's Jem
Here's a good example of why some 'green' seeds are viable. As seen above, the brown coating on some seeds comes off rather easily. Most seeds just lose their tiger stripes from rubbing against other seeds in a bag, but some lose their brown color coating too.
Ok, now here we have some AF crosses.
Diesel Ryder - (New York City Diesel x Lowryder #2)
(Early Misty x Lowryder) F2
White Dwarf - (White Widow x Lowryder#2) F2
Here are some of my in-progress crosses that I'll be trying to bring to full AF.
Lady G1 x Masterlow - (AF Recessive)
The White x Masterlow - (AF Recessive)
and of course the PBSxSDIBL crosses so far
PBSD4 x Masterlow - (AF Recessive)
(PBSD4 x Masterlow) x Masterlow - (50% AF, 50% non-AF)
The PBSD4 has real dense buds and is a hard plant to pollinate because of this for some reason. Also overwhelming the plant with a full plant pollination provided for some seed size variation in this cross. The larger seeds were buried deep in the buds.
The original PBS seed was dark and smaller in size. This has carried through in the PBS x SDIBL cross.
Additionally, the PBSD4 x Masterlow and (PBSD4 x Masterlow) x Masterlow crosses also continued this small, dark seed trait, along with thinner shells
If anyone else has any AF seed pics, observations, etc, please share em here.
Please only post seed pics of AF strains, AF crosses or AF works in-progress. There are other threads for non-AF seeds.
