AF planting time

My question is about starting Autoflowering plants during different times of the season in a climate where the temperatures never go below zero.

How does to outcome differ when you start them let's say so they're getting 14, 15 or more hour of light vs. later in the season when they are only getting 12?

What about in the winter? I expect much slower growth due to cooler temps.

Any thoughts or ideas?

The reason I ask is because I already wanted to have been living in Malaga during the 16/8 period to plant my AFs but will now arrive later in the season.

Thanks!

I had samples from a same AF strain grown in different time spans over the grow season, they were grown march-end may, early may-end july, june-sept and some even aug-oct.

Obviously the second sample was best, as it should be, full bud development and aromas. The first and third were similar, but somehow third was a bit better.
Fourth was just not so good but still decent.

I think you can get some kind of product all over the year but quality won't compare to a properly grown plant in full summer season. Low temperatures slow them down a lot in all aspects, as do the too high temperatures, not same effect but not good for the plant.

Get a greenhouse, it's the only smart option for all-year outdoors.

Hey thanks,

Yeah a greenhouse is an awesome way to grow. I'm glad all of your harvests were smoke worthy no matter what time of the season. Sigh... I have a dilemma as to weather rent a flat or a house in Malaga. While a balcony grow would be less perfect then a rented house... I fear that security would be better.

In a house I feel like anyone that gets a whiff of your plants will just wait for them to ripen to jump ya fence or whatever. I hear in Spain sometimes you gotta worry more about the rippers than the police.

I have 3 dogs to protect my property but am still hesitant about it.
