Hello, been growing my medicine for some time now, have gone through the hydroponic stage years ago and have been growing in soil for the last 5. I have been using Chempak 4 as my feed, both veg and flowering. I have good results from this feed but am wishing to change strains now, from Hindu Kush to maybe one of the White strains. I fancy a change of feed also, maybe get a more bountiful crop etc etc. I want to use organic nutrients and would like a bit of help in choosing. I grow in one of the multi purpose composts and use a little perlite, mainly because of the taste etc I get from soil grown dope, and I haven't been phhing my water for the last few years.
What suggestion would you make as to good organic feeds that produce top results ??

thanks in advance

First off, pH your shit. Advanced Nutrients makes some top of the line organic nutes, but they can be quite pricey. Fox Farm also makes really good stuff. Do you want completely organic?

Pretty sure Fox Farm is not truely organic - I chose Earth Juice because of the price / alot of users here / easy to use / nice 5 part line / & its true organic..

EARTH JUICE GROW 2-1-1
bat guano
kelp
sulfate of potash
feather meal
oat bran
blood meal
steamed bone meal

this is the “jack of all trades” among the Earth Juice products . . . useful throughout all of vegging and the first couple weeks of flowering . . . Depending on a plant’s growth stage and we use the EJ Grow at concentrations of anywhere from 1 TBSP to 2 TBSP per gallon (and we have pushed it to 3 to 4 TBSP without harm for very heavy feeders)

EARTH JUICE BLOOM 0-3-1
bat guano
seabird guano
kelp
sulfate of potash
steamed bone meal
oat bran
rock phosphate

we love our Earth Juice Bloom as a flowering fertilizer and. . . because this product has no Nitrogen it’s especially useful for late stage flowering when it’s desirable to let a plant use up the soil’s nitrogen reserves . . . and for an added boost of Phosphorous at those times when plant’s need an extra boost of P . . . we normally use EJ Bloom at rates between ½ and 2 TBSP per gallon . . .

EARTH JUICE CATALYST
oat bran
kelp
wheat malt
molasses
yeast

For some odd reason, the Canadian Government requires this product to be labeled as “Xatalyst” . . . but whatever it’s called where you live . . . if you’ve looked over the “Molasses Manual” by the 3LB you may already know the biggest “secret” to this product . . . the sweet sticky goodness of molasses . . . as we’ve said elsewhere molasses feeds microbes and acts as a chelating agent to make micronutrients more available to plants . . . those extra organic goodies in Catalyst like wheat malt and oat bran are just “icing on the cake” . . .

Earth Juice Meta-K 0-0-10
sulfate of potash

pretty simple product with apparently only a single active ingredient . . . it does have a good measure of Sulfur . . . and it’s very useful to give an extra boost of Potassium when necessary . . . Many organic fertilizers run a little “lean” on K - especially guano based products . . . and EJ Meta-K gives us a way to add that needed Potassium in controlled amounts as needed . . .

Earth Juice Microblast
kelp meal
magnesium sulfate
borax
cobalt sulfate
ferrous sulfate
manganese sulfate
sodium molybdate
zinc sulfate

the Microblast tests out to the following percentages . . . Magnesium (Mg) .05%, Boron (B) .02%, Cobalt (Co) .0005%, Iron (Fe) .10%, Manganese (Mn) .05%, Molybdenum (Mo) .0005%, Zinc (Zn) .05% . . . in our experience it’s a great all around micronutrient supplement that resolves almost every potential micronutrient issue likely to arise . . .

I use and recommend BioBizz.

I like to use as little as possible, but I have settled on Grow, Bloom, Top Max, I use the PreMix dry in my soil mix, and I use Floralicious Plus (General Hydroponics) almost every watering for vegging and flowering plants (not moms) and CalMax every 10 days or so, depending on strain/phase, etc.

My soil mix is coco, BB PreMix, kelp, worm castings, that's it. No need for perlite with coco.

Mostly organic, the calmax and ph up and down are mineral derived. I use so little and they work.

The EJ looks good. How is it for altering ph? BioBizz is partly molasses derived, but not very acidic, like some. FloraPlus is pretty acidic. 1/2 ml took the ph of 2 L of water down from 8.1 to 7.2.

One of the best things you can do is learn, understand and master ph.

I agree that Advanced Nutrients is too expensive. Hope that wasn't a siren out to the trolls.......

Thanks for the replies, very much appreciated.
I will be having a good look around the Amsterdam markets and hopefully understand a little more about nutrients etc.
I can feel a new warmth appearing for my growing, will certainly be reading these forums everyday :0

Thanks again

DaveMR

AN (www.advancednutrientsusa.com)makes some good products, expensive, but they work well mother earth tea is organic

i also like AND use biobizz (http://www.atami.com/)(n-r-gey) its a molasis based flavor enhancemer (0-0-9).

canna (http://www.canna.nl/) also makes fine organic mj targeted ferts.
they make an organic tea aswell.

Earthjuice(http://www.earthjuice.com/) makes great nutes aswell, ive only used a few but can vouce for these aswell.

fox (http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/)makes great soil, ive never used there nutes b4 but like AN they only have a few fully organic items.

i like to mix organic and synthetic for the best of both worlds. :jump: :joint:

It does drop PH alot when mixed & stays put till a little over 24hrs of bubbling then drifts up to the 6's at around 36hs & if you let it bubble for 48hs its in the 7's.

As far as the long term PH medium drop using it over time - lime seems to balance the medium to keep it from getting acidic.

There PH up / down are the only organic adjusters on the market that I know of which is another reason why I like them. The other acid adjusters (phosphoric) scare me that they may damage the benificials that I work so hard to multiply.

There Cloning (Rootstock) Rooting solution & gel are also great - 100% success rate since using them..

DigitalHippy, I think you've mistaken BioBizz for B'Cuzz, judging by your link. The ferts I was referring to is BioBizz nutrients from Holland. They were just bought up by General Hydroponics.

Thanks for the info TFarmer. I'm definitely going to try to get some EJ. It's tough to get some stuff sometimes and I will not internet/mail order that stuff. If I can't walk in and buy with anonymous cash, I don't get it.

The phosphoric acid is only 20% it won't burn your skin, and I think plants see it like a hydro phosphorus nute. I only need a ml or so for a gallon, and it is diluted in water/ferts. I think it most likely feeds beneficials, as would any P source.

I don't need lime because coco is much closer to ideal ph than peat based mixes, and I use the calmag to supplement. An organic substitute for that would be nice, cal, mag and iron.
