Advice on Haze Choice

This will be my first Haze grow, my first sativa or sativa dominate hybrid grow. They will be grown in soil.

Ace Seeds-Killer A5 Haze

Rare Dankness- Ghost Train Haze #1

Both of my choices can be purchased from IC vendors . Potency was a major factor in choices.

The GTH looks like a easier grow but not looking to trade quality for a little more work.
The A5 has a Fem only offering and the GTH is regular seeds only.

Any grow experience on either strain much appreciated.

Sounds like you got the primo genetics.

The original seedbank cross, NL x Haze, I bought it around 1990 and lost 5 plants to the forest rangers of San Diego.

But managed to grow 5 more, and some were just Fucking AWESOME.

The Haze takes over. The Northern Lights helps out.


The same or similar genetics are sold by a lot of people.

Freedom Seeds sells Freedom Haze, a Haze cross with similar parents.

Not a pure Haze, a cross.


For me the combination of the Haze cross with strong Coffee, is like LSD.

Way more hallucinogenic (for me) than LSD itself.

I would go Ace if potency is the factor. By all accounts killer a5 is rude.

I have smoked GTH a few times and it's good, but it certainly isn't old school scare the shit out of you good.

Is it worth the time then? Ah keep wondering but haven't pulled the wallet out yet. Be good tae see a grow or smoke report if you've got one.

Tae the OP - ah just did OT Haze an that's amazing. Took close tae 6 months flowering an the yield is very low, smell low, bag appeal poor - but the high... Wow.

Ah shared a 0.2g vape around 11am yesterday morning and didn't need another until close tae 2pm. Tbh ah could've easily gone a few more hours but it was the weekend. Potency is still rising in the jars as well - this is at a month just about, they say she really hits the peak around 6 month in. Definitely worth it tae me. (For context ah vape about 0.3-0.4 roughly per day so approx 3-4 0.2g bowls shared with ma partner. Weekdays a bit less, weekends a bit more.)

Tbh that an the zamaldelica an Panama ah did this year ruined me - ah cannae hack sat dom hybrids as much now coz the high is so much mud in comparison. Indy doms or straight indys are ok for a night time puff but otherwise it's 100% pure sativas for me now.

to be honest it needs selection and a bit of luck to pop your favourite haze version with the interested effect and terpenes
we love it, i guarantee you will not be dissapointed

Ah keep lookin at his stuff but no buyin. Wanna try the haze, northern lights, mango, Bahia blackhead, Leda uno an maybe kc39. Not that ah have the space or time for that, already got a fridge full of seeds... Still, no harm in havin them on hand eh?

Lester, good to know. Appreciate the fact you have smoked both strains. Love first hand info.

The fact that they are only offered in Fem seeds does not bother you? I'm not trying to say one is better than the other (fem vs regular)just asking the question.

Well the short flowering time is a plus for sure. What are you thoughts on potency and overall structure, ease of grow?

I saw in a second post that you mentioned a pheno hunt is necessary . As a newbie to Haze are there any traits that stick out to guide someone to the right pheno? KC has been around a long time thats for sure.

Inside flowering 6-9 weeks
height. 125-150 cm yield up to 160 gram

Outside flowering 8-11 weeks
height: 225-250 cm yield up to 800 gram
harvest end of September until half October

1. is very indica dominant in veg, you would miss it with a hindu kush like plant any time, flowering starts slowly with very little stretch, perfect plant for sog and ready to harvest very fast minimum of 60 days, but they will be happy to flower for 70-80 days depends on your specific environment.
yields are heavy, buds are dense fully covered with resin



2. very sativa in veg, grows slowly with little needs of nutrients flowering starts faster, but the stretching is enormous.. compared to the 1. average clones (15-20 cm with no vegetative time after rooting). while the 1. finished at maximum of 80-100 cm of maximum height, 2. reached 180+ cm !!

flowering time is longer minimum of 2 -3 weeks (80-90 days and still grows fresh white hairs)


3. sativa type veg, fastly growing fast flowering and fast finisher ready in ~70 days









sure, but what is the right for you ?

well to be sure is it right for you or not, only one thing you can do, grow them, and smoke some and keep cuts to decide which one do you like the most,




i forgot to mention a very important aspect plants are highly resistent to bugs and pests and no budrot or botritis at all
