IM a lifelong vermonter, actually done 5 yrs in prison for my love of this cultivar many moons ago when the good ole boy network had everyone fooled into thinking budweiser is the awenswer and pot is for terrorist hippies! I dont drink........lmao

So vermont has legalized..........Can i get advice from folks in areas where markets have popped up to sales for rec users? I wanna avoid the cash hungry folks who could care less about product control/quality. Id love some insight! advice.......i have noticed in my older age that i need to find great flowers and may need to start vaping instead of reg smoking of flowers. I enjoy edibles but really dont wanna walk away from the profiles a good bowl of flowers can provide. Luckily i have an irish friend here that helps me when i need it that ive known for 30 ys but if something should happen there id be bootlipping for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciatted!

If you are permitted to grow, then grow your own. The buds are overpriced and well not that great. I can grow better as a novice than what is available at NSLC.

If they are gonna sell mids i can expect decent prices for an elbow>? id love to grow my rent instead of climb trees and trim canopies to pay it! Im currently working with my current town to reintroduce kentucky coffee trees here. ive got 6 seeds stratifying in the fridge, in hopes that spring they will be sprung! I love seeing things thrive under my thumbs

I love my coffee tree. It's 35 years since I transplanted it. It dropped all its limbs every fall for several years. I thought I killed it the first year. It's 25' and about the size of a fence post. Most interesting bark.

my lord good sir! I used to pick tobacco and cucumbers in hatfield (northern mass) loved it there..........fished the deerfield river for native brookies.......good fuken times man! My purto rican friends from chicopee called me the crazy vermont boy....one day they said hey man were moving up north, i said why....commenwealth states want too much money from average joes kinda thing.........i wonder where those cats are now!
that was the only time i ever paid 60 a slice and it was for some headripper skunk flowers that looked like golfballs .....id fight a bear to get those flowers back man! No way in hell i can afford those prices with the way my girl and brother smoke....wow man thx for that insight. I wont lie it kinda deflated my sense of what to expect. I guess im blessed here in burlington in that i can usually find decent flowers amongst a group of folks ive known for 25-30 in some cases 40 yrs. I wonder how your mass flowers are tbh, its been a coons age since ive tasted anything mass and i do believe it was a sweet tooth cultivar grown by mason who knew wtf he was doing.....yet another cultivar id pump a rhino to get back.
Id better invest in lighting and tents then...may be quite busy.......i was purusing the jaws thread where he mentions bananna kush 60/40....me likes!

Truly adore this tree and i grew up in vermont sugarbushes with some of the most gorgeous black cherry,beech,yellow birch,birch,tamarack,ash,elm(mainly slippery sadly) and this coffee is something to behold! I may try paw paw as well if i can keep my chit together lmao!

Avoid the chains, stick with mom n pop type places if you have them. Generally speaking, I haven't been that impressed with any dispensary weed, homegrowers just do it better and with more care. Chains are fine for novelty items, I get a big kick out of the weird legal stuff. The biggest thing would be to try out as many as you can to see if they are any good, just snag a gram or something small to see if it was well grown and harvested.

I haven't found reviews to be that helpful, it's sort of like checking Yelp for Mexican restaurants and chipotle is the highest rated. The masses dont have the same taste as the connoisseur.

I am rather fond of the deals you see in cannasaver, I would assume that or some equivalent is available. The caveat is I only use coupons for stuff like carts or edibles, places offering huge discounts on buds are doing it for a reason, and that reason is that its shitty weed.

Aside from the weird drinks/trail mix/suppositories/etc that are all kinda neat, there just isnt much reason to visit a shop if you have the ability to grow or know folks that do.

I go to the Indian reserve to buy cigarettes.

They have a cannabis outlet next door.

The prices top out at $275 CAD an ounce for the top tier weed like "Violator" which won an award in a BC contest (Yeah Ontario bud!!) to $100 an ounce for whatever is on sale that week.

If I can buy better weed at the reserve than I've ever bought on the street for $100 an ounce then I'll do that if it's cheaper than growing my own.

IMO Mr. PCBuds is a prime candidate for making butter out of those buds. I would lightly crumble them first.

I love vaping flower. My tool is a Volcano. I grind coarse, vape and make butter if I only vape it once at a lower temp (strips the terps and tastes soooo good), then save and make butter. With the Magma I can run the Volcano temp up to 420 and the water cools and humidifies the vapor as it fills the bag. That material is pretty much done and gets tossed onto the lawn. Magma slows bag filling.
