This being my first indoor grow, I’m looking for advice to setup my space. Though I’ve grown outdoor for many years, I’ve found moving indoor to be complex.
I have researched for months on this and other sites on how to best setup an attic and have an idea for a decent setup, but I feel as though my head is in the sand and can’t see other solutions.
I could use your help.
This is what I have to work with.
24’ long x 21.5’ wide attic space
7.7’ height 0’ from center (this peak is 24’ long)
6.5’ height 2’ from center
5.9’ height 3’ from center
5.2’ height 4’ from center
4.5’ height 5’ from center
3.7’ height 6’ from center
2.2’ height 8’ from center
Able to build room/s within the attic
120 amps total - 60 amps 240v, 60 amps 120v, less 20% for safety
240v will safely handle 6-1K or 10-6K HID and 2 ton AC
All other equipment on 120v (dehuey, CO2?, controllers, fans, etc...)
Open to T5 for veg. LED seems to lack bang for the buck
Mainline water and overboard drains
Ceiling and walls insulated with thermal barrier, R-30, and insulated panels
Plywood floor covered for insulation and water protection
UVC entrance buffer to avoid importing bugs and powdery mildew
Except for wind, birds, and airplanes, it is dead silent outside
Stealth is critical for the occasional hiker or ranger passing by
Sound proofing installed on interior walls
No external exhaust or equipment
Mini-split could be installed within the attic, but outside the grow room/s
Floor below attic could act as a lung room
Passive ventilation exists between lower floor and attic
Mild temps and humidity throughout the year
99 plant maximum
Budget 10K
Goal is to maximize annual yield
