if they wanted to see what was in the package they would have and if they wanted to grab him the postal inspector would have been with/right behind the mail lady

they were probably supposed to be saving all those receipts right along and now the office is being audited

I agree with Amber. I have a friend who was sent a sketchy package, and what the post office did was call him, explained that he was being sent a suspicious package, giving him the sender's name and address, asked if he knew that person and if they could open the package. He told them he didn't know any such person and go ahead and open the package, he didn't want it.

What sounds sketchy is that your friend is receiving seeds every month and not growing many of them out.

My buddy had some seeds sent to him...he doesn't order many, it's not international, through USPS, and he does it on a semi-frequent basis from some buddies. He lives out in some country county in a non-med state.

Last time the lady dropped the package off, she took the top slip off the package (The one with the addresses, it has a carbon copy underneath she left intact), and said something along the lines of the postmaster or somebody is doing a general investigation or audit or something and that it's nothing directly related to him...it's been a week and nothing has happened. I told him he should stop while he's ahead but he's concerned he's already in too deep. He thinks 2 months from now he's gonna get popped and that they've been keeping track of what he's gotten. I told him that if they knew what was up he'd be on the front page of his hick town's newspaper.

I also have a suspicion he's been getting a little bit of flowers with the seeds. He hasn't told me that, but it seems odd he get seeds every month or so. He gets em for some of his peers sometimes, but nevertheless it just doesn't add up. He only does 8 plants a time, keeps everything, doesn't even smoke it with anybody...doesn't have people over either...the way he smokes, and the fact that he maybe gets 3oz every harvest...idk

Google USPS audits and things like it, they are nearly Bankrupt. The info is out there. Thats the first thing that came to my mind, second was just stoney sketching.

they woulda cut the package open and seized the seeds. You would get the cut open package with a nice little note sayin the contents are behind held and you can gladly come pick them up if you would like. Chances are the LEO is more concerned with the local Pillbillies and the flood of prescriptions then some seeds.

Hi, in uk they Send you a letter if its naughty and sales you to pick it up ,my mate sent a 100g bar in post from spain ,he got the letter from uk customs he never pickd it up and that was the end of that.the pollen was cheap as Chips 25 e so it was worth it all that pollen is cheap in spain they the smugglers make 500% profit on the comercial crap that they send over to the uk.pollen my arse moorr like pine tree pollen its identical.

I think the legality actually depends on the country in question doc. It's best not to assume.

Beware of the yreka ca. post office . There is a kid with pock marks on his face , & a dark skined kid , that steal seeds .There not snitchy , but theives . I asked them about my mail , & they looked at each other , & laughed . Months later they sold my freind poorly grown willie nelson , & la con , just what went missing.

in the USA, fertile cannabis seeds are not legal, just another part of the forbidden plant
the USPS is quite a mix of dangers and safeguards with respect to seeds, a well packaged set of seeds should have very low risk of being found
but if found, it's not like customs who pretty much just toss 'em and send you a letter
the post office can move with unpleasant force if something gets found, especially in podunk, USA where a seed shipment is local newspaper worthy
