They are very efficient for speading light evenly (no hot spots).

icdog have u ever use any? I mean with the spreader u can move your lights closer to ur ladies and u get no hot spots and the adjustawings hood has 95% of reflection is not special to u? then let me know what is because so far they r the best on the market

I got some check my thread .
I think they work awesome.Have very minimum to compare it to but some of my plants got ver high into the hood that was the most time of heat stress HAHAHa

this pic might show . You see hte metal wire in the background. That wire is on the edge of the adjusta wing. So that nug is just about even with a 400 metal halide my other lamp in the room is a 600 and it is close to the same situation.

The hoods just push the heat to the side of the hood no heat under the bulb i can keep my hand 2 inch from the spreader for as long as i like.

Hope thise helps the first page of the grow in my sig shows the setup and explains the vents and stuff

Ilove the adjusta spreads the light killer but the price tag was a bit much but i got like 20% off or som"N like that

I'm pretty sure the spreader is supposed to be mounted the other way...

Like this (^ = diffuser super spreader:)

THAT WAY i INCREASE THE LIGHTPRINT AREA IN THE LENGTH DIRECTION SO I GET AN EFFCIENT GROWAREA OF 1,35 x 1,10 x 1,20 METERS OUT OF MY 600HPS (AND THE REFLECTOR IS FULLY TOUCHABLE OPPOSED TO MY CMEMORYO STANDARD TRIANGULAR REFLECTOR I USE WITH MY 250mh

The material is equally reflective on both sides - so no harm done. The silver reflector above are very lightweight which I reckon is excellent - easy to hang and they don't retain heat. They work excellently. The light spreaders are ok and do help if you like to put your light really low - which I don't reckon is the best method unless you have a light mover and even then not necessary unless you physically lack room. The only contra argument to this super reflective tin is that it does reflect a lot of heat comp to a white reflector - but the white adjusta wings are much heavier. The white adjusta's discolour a bit also - paint melts a little close to the bulb. All in all, the light spreader (big ^ shaped spoon with holes in it that sits close under the light) is a good way to spread heat & light super radiation that you get with this 'tin' but not essential. I'd agree that these tin reflectors are 'the best' but due to heat projection a purist may prefer a white reflector. Chow for now non-:joint:

Yes I have them and the spreaders. I found no difference in the hood compared to any other hood.
I removed the spreaders, they redirect the light to the sides and it is very focused, it seemed to burn the plants. It does lower the light directly under the bulb but not good if it burns them on the sides.
The reflection seems nice and it is a quality product but overall I think the big parabolic reflectors are the way to go with a horizontal light.

HAPPYTREE pics look nice, the spreader is definately the wrong way but maby it works better that way, I might try it.
