i believe the dosage is 2.5 tsp per gallon(for 3% strength), but its suggested to build up to this level.

here is an equation on how much h2o2 to add everyday...although ive never used this.

1.28*gallons in rez/% concentration of h202=how much h202 u add everyday

edit: this is for hydroponic use

for soil grows.. if you suspect you overwatered too much and you may have rotting root.. the best thing i find is to let your pots dry out completely and then transplant them. first you need to remove the plant w/ rootball from the old pot and gently shake loose as much of the soil from the roots as possible. this way you can actually find the trouble spots (if there turn out to be any) and if there are rotted brown roots (which are different than say roots with some soil material still stuck to them.. look at the sick plant guide) then i would take 2 tsp. mixed to a gallon of water and gently wash the roots with the solution. this should help clean off the dead roots and allow you to replant the plant in a new batch of soil. depending on how large the plants are you may need to use a nute solution for the first watering you may not.

the worst thing to do imo is add h2o2 solution to the soil itself. it kills the bacteria which feeds your plants.

Continuing from and perhaps summarizing Seedy's comments: H202 is good to control root disease, but for healthy roots in healthy soil will do more harm than good by killing the beneficial microorganisims that help roots drink and eat and breathe.

I use rain water...and I use peroxide n the rain barrel. Only 1 drop per gal.
2 tbls or tsp... that is to much.

Hope this helps, Willie! :sasmokin:

i would only consider using peroxide if I was growing with chemical ferts or if I had a serious root problem. The benifit of a little O2 boost is not worth killing all your benificial microbes and micorrhizae.

I use filtered tap water and let it sit for two days to disburse any residual chlorine. Lately i have been bubbling it with an air stone before i use it to maybe add some oxigen. Who knows if it really does any good.

Of course its doing some good, your oxygenating the water. If I didnt normally have 30-40 gallons I'd aerate them too lol.Hell of a lot better than using peroxide and doing more harm than good
