Adding Epsom Salts??

I have used Epson salt to correct Mg deficiencies, works well.

I used 1/2 tsp per gallon of water in soil.

Carefull with brand epson salts, once I saw a SCHULTZ product that had Nitrogen in it also.

Actually you should use about 1/4 cup per gallon for Mg deficiency. Yes, I have done it. No it will not hurt your soil or plants. Use less if you intend to foliar feed.

peace.

I use 1 tsp/litre. I used to foliar feed, but now I just include it as part of the nute regime and water it in.

I use 1/4 for the seedling stage, like LC recommended, then I look for defects, or just at it twice during veg and twice during flower or so.

Does anyone use Epsom salts EVERY watering and if so how much? (just curious) I usually apply it every other week, more if they are showing deficiency (.5-1 tsp / gallon). Judging magnesium intake is one thing I have yet to perfect.

use them any time you'd use normal nutes. however if its combating a deficiency you may wish to add more frequently till fixed, as you see fit.

i dont do dirt, but i do use epsom salt, 1/4 cup per gallon sounds very extreme to me. i use 7-8 ml per gallon

you can mix it in with your soil too so you don't have to water with it

DON'T use Epsom Salts unless you are SURE you have magnesium deficiency ... it can cause nutrient-lock, preventing the uptake of nutrients to your plant ... :joint:
