beeing a fast reaction it can be used as a co2 boost from time to time.
i usually put 1 or 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a container and pour vinegar over enaugh to react with all the baking soda.

yeast + sugar can also be used, that beeing a slower reaction can be placed in a bottle with a hole or a tube in the cap and used in the growroom. lasts for up to a week. a second bottle can de used as a bubble counter.

Adding co2 will only make a difference if your grow area is properly sealed. Otherwise the added co2 will just vent out with very little effect. With that being said, there is another way to make co2, but it is dangerous. Burning of fuel will release co2+ water at a rate of 1:3. So for every oz of fuel burned 3oz of co2 is created. Again this is very dangerous and cannot be used if you cant be around the grow area while you are burning fuel. I cant stress the danger enough, but this is the most effective home made co2 because it can be regulated. Just use basic fire safety and everything will be fine

if you put your baking soda in a bowl and drip vinegar into it . it will provide constant co2. i used a pitcher with a wick hanging over the side of it dripping into a bowl.
