Adding CO2 to grow space

I was curious if anyone has tried this before and if it makes enough of an increase to the plants to even bother with it?

Im assuming it would be as simple as getting a CO2 tank and let it slowly fill the contained area?

Thoughts, Comment?

The line you'll probably hear repeated over and over goes something like:

"if you have it dialed in already then adding co2 will help you, if you don't have it dialed in then do that first then worry about co2 later"

You would need the tank to be hooked up to a controller to keep the CO2 level in the room where you wanted it. Just letting a CO2 tank empty out uncontrolled in a sealed room could kill somebody.
