activated carbon filters

I found this filter at Lowe's and was wondering if anyone has every tried to use them as odor control. It is suppose to be an all purpose odor control that can be cut down to the size you need.

Oh, that sounds like a good idea. If you're worried about odor control, I think this couldn't hurt at all.

I'm not sure how well it would work with a very large grow room, but I guess it couldn't hurt. I would just caution against using the filters for too long. You might need to change them over more often than you might for their original use.

Nice find. I love it when growers get all McGyver.

:thank you:

For small grows of low odor plants, they'll work. For plants that stink, no. Been there done that.

I should say this is intended for a micro grow(11" x 13" less than 1 sq. ft.) and it is suppose to work for 90 days.
