decided it would be easier to give this its own thread instead of spamming someone else' thread XD
Got a few pictures of the material I plan on using.
i have some 1/8" 1/4" 3/8"cellcast and 1 1/4"cell cast acrylic to test carding with as well as what appears to be a vinyl material to try instead of the parchment.
need to get some mesh material to make a frame with. Do you fine gentlemen and ladies think a 110u screen would work well to get a material that is slightly clean yet still dirty?
Picture of the acrylic. I cut different styles of edges to see how they would affect the material I am working with. I'll have one with rounded edges, 45 degree edges, and straight edges. Also plently of sizes to try out as well.
Not sure what the plan is for the larger piece of 3/8" cellcast. I was thinking I would place it over top of my sifting screen to be, and rub it with a cloth or get it statically charged in some fashion. then I would tap the screen from beneath or something to see if contaminants want to get attracted to acrylic while the heads stay on the screen. The thinner material is only about 1/64" thick or less so i may use it in place of parchment or make a frame for it to catch things with. I am way not sure what I am doing with this stuff, but that is the whole point of testing : D
This is the Vinyl material(3M Scotchcal Marking film) with some form of backing material on it. I'm hoping this will be a good replacement for the parchment as it should be able to hold a very good charge.
I will also be documenting everything in the picture descriptions of my profiles album for these sweet sweet testings.
More to come when I find my mesh material and start construction of the frame. If you fine people like I can take some pics of the building process for that as well but I'm sure that has been very well documented already by many others.
