Its given just so you can imagine and compare by your weather and enviroment..

but maybe some phenos can be finished earlier and some more longer flowering
more than first November..

some climates already in October have tricky weather so you need to have
atleast good weather whithouth cold extremes and too much rain till
15 of November to grow sucessfully strain as Malawi that goes 12-14
weeks..

OK so its 10-13 weeks..

if its 10 weeks then you harvest around 15.10.
if its 12 weeks then 1 November..

if is 14 week then 15. November..

You are very correct...sorry dude...just got a new
moon shine still and had to test it out...made peach brandy....and I. Rarely drink so I'm slightly hammered.....that's strange ...we have some similar plant breeding visions....I too am making the Malawi sour bubble cross....what was the high like in your sour Malawi cross????I got a few killer phenos of the SB ...and my friend pheno hunted a few packs of Malawi for the biggest ....menthol lemon male he could find...should make some very unique hybrid offspring....your pics inspire me for suree

Sorry bro but i never made cross of SB to Malawi.. also never growed Malawi but recently
am buyed 5 fem seeds just to try it one day when i get space for them..

Am growing now Killer A5 Haze and Malawi x Panama..so there is some Malawi
in cross, still they are young and there will need time to show some buds..

Also if you think to made cross of SB and Malawi i just say go for it... nothing to
loose.. but check your parental plants on stress so a cross will be stabile
and safe for growing..

We know here what is Moonshine but mine folks usually made it from plums
or grapes.. i dont drink at all but before when i am those Moonshine
have best kick from all booze.. also you can go easy mayhem on it
cause brain choose bad decisions to made..

I definitely stress test potential breeding stock...if I can safely...I'm paranoid of stressing females too much honestly.......hermis are wack...I've only seen one full Herm from a bag seed once....I've also seen a few male flowers late in flower before....I hate herms...I hope these things stretch alot lol...like a Mexican sativa or something..

Hey Lost Sailor! I have a Malawi growing outdoors at the moment in Colorado. If I remember this thread, I'll pop back in to let you know when this Malawi pheno finishes, to give you a general idea. I'm growing Malawi and three of her progeny: Golden Tiger, Zamaldelica and Angry Jamaican. It will be interesting to see how they finish. I'm force-flowering the Zam and GT, since ACE suggests their finishing dates are a week or two behind Malawi. I'm going to let the Malawi finish naturally, and hope for nice weather in late October.

Seems you and I have some stuff in common, shipmate. I'm an old sailor, and my garden shed doubles as a still house too. I'm busy planting hundreds of native plum bushes in order to make Slivovic (plum brandy, popular in eastern Europe)

It's been a long time since I ran the still, but I still have a nice supply of Bourbon from the old days.

I don't drink much anymore, but tonight I'm gonna enjoy a glass of Bourbon and a spliff, and remember the enjoyable days when I used to mix the two often.

Yes bro Šljivovica is a real name.. Slivovic is a English try to give
name to this drink...

and you need a variety of plum that i called Bistrica for best
Rakija(Moonshine).. there are also other strains that are very
good..

destililation of this plum gives really recognizable Southeast Europe
booze but dont overeact with drinking cause next day you could
be very sorry.. it can made idiots from normal people if they
drink too much..

Clearly, you know the same liquor, however you might spell it!

I'm guessing from your spelling that you're Serbian or Croatian? I've seen lots of spellings. One for every country that makes the stuff: Slivovitz, Slivovitza, Slivovitsa, Șliboviță, Šljivovica, Śliwowica, Schlivowitz, Slivovice, Slivovica or Slivovkaand, шљивовица, слив'янка и сливовица. As you can tell, I love the stuff. I've sampled varieties from Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovenia: The best were Slovenian and Croatian versions which I was pleased to sample all the way around the world in Wyoming, USA. (I married into a Slovenian/Croatian family that migrated to Wyoming, so I know lots of Slavs in Wyoming and Colorado) Both of the best varieties were homemade, in a bottle with no label, with a pear inside the bottle. (I've seen pear trees in Slovenia covered in bottles, as they grow the pears inside the bottles.)

Sorry, Lost Sailor! Thread Hi-jack over. (But don't neglect to try a drink of Slivo when you have a chance! I'm sure any proper sailor would approve!)

Now you talk with Croat so we are some far away family bro... ;D

Those ones with pear in bottle is name Viliamovka cause its
maded with Williams Pear.. they mount bottles on branches
and pear grows inside bottle and then is added desitilate
from this same pears.. its a very nice and fragrant type
of Rakija, also was mine favorite when i was still drink..

Serbians are even one level up in creating good quality Rakija
from different fruits.. i will say they know very good how to do it
and have some special kinds of Moonshine-Rakija from high
quality fruits of all kind, artisan level and quality in some
producers..

Bosnian Rakija is strongest one if we talk in how much alchohol
these booze have..

Am liked very much Slavonia Šljivovica Rakija, region in Croatia that made Plum Moonshine but this booze is not overpowering while still
those Plum terps inside are very tasty..

Kind regards CowboyTed

Hi Lost_sailor,

Sorry for the delay in the reply. The flowering times and outdoor finishing times stated in the strain descriptions on our website are correct and accurate for latitudes between 37-40ºN. Our pure Malawi finishes outdoors in these latitudes around late October/early November. Earlier if you are growing southern, later if you are growing northern.

You can find plenty of info from other growers growing Malawi outdoors in many different places and latitudes in the official Malawi thread in the sticky area here in our room.

Hope it helps and thanks for your interest.
