Today i got my sending from ace :)
6x malawi X pck
3 Panama
5 Nep Jam
5 PCK x Kali

So now my question is i have about 12-15 weeks left in my area till summer hits in hard and temps indoor wont be controllable without an AC wich strain will you think will perform best with short veg ? so that they can also finish in time before they get grilled by hot temps

Best wishes :) Psy

Ps: my first forum post now after two years of silent reading the ace subforum got me to register here:D

Howdy Psy! And welcome to the icmag forums! :tiphat:

Nice line up you got there, seems you are either interested more in the hybrid selection (more indica dom side of things) or just needed to get shit done quickly.

I personally am a sativa guy, and I would recommend going with the Panama and Malawi x pck myself. But definitely the Panama since it is a sativa and will need the shortest veg time of the selection you are holding.

That is just my opinion tho....

Whatever you choose good luck and try and post up some pics of your work! I have the panama and the others you have listed as well, I really want to see the panama in action and how she does for you as I will probably run them outdoor this year.

I am currently running Zamaldelica and Golden Tiger, super excited to hurry and get to harvest day! Lol. But I still have, ohhhh, about 10-12 weeks left!

Good luck man!

What kind of set up are you running?

Hey MountainBudz :)
Yeah its a bit due time reasons now that i orderd more hybrids, after the conversion of my growroom this summer ( bit more space and a veg tent will come ;) ) i will try my first 100%sativas but for now i have just 2m heigt and a 400w hps with some cfls on the sides so i will order end of summer a sativa selection and now go first with aces hybrids :)

Do you think the panamas will perform good with about 2 weeks of veg from seed? never grown 100% sats so i am not so sure now they can go the full time

For sure i will try take some pics in the next time just got a new cam to try .
Will also take some clones from the best of the seedlings for trying outdoor this year( am about lat 49 so dont know if they all get done but we will see :)

Harvested my Lemon Thai Kush and Somango 3 Days before so my tent will be ready again in about 4-5 days so i ll have to start the seeds within the next 1-2 days ahh so exited on the ace packs

Nice Selection you have wish you also good look for yours and a short time till harvest
;) .

Psy, with your space restrictions right now and the 400 watt hps, i'd probably go with some hybrids instead. Pure sativas or sativa dominant strains seem to do better with 600 plus lighting. Not saying it can't be done, because it can and with potent nice nugs to go with it, but you'll get like three times as much or more with stronger lighting.

As for the panama doing well with 2 weeks veg, yes she would probably do excellent, sativas don't really need that much veg time. I'm still learning the sativas as we speak and I have currently made the mistake of over vegging mine and you would be so amazed and (slightly freaked out) at how much they veg and how vigorous they are once they start flowering. Like a wild Asian vine with a tree trunk! Lol.

Good idea to get them cuttings as well, as if you ever miss out on a good keeper you will always think about it and regret it for the rest of your life. Good keepers are hard to find, but once found you can keep them going forever! Until another keeper comes along and you can throw her out and bring in the new, sort of like this generations relationships in society... Lol.

Good luck with everything! and thanks for the luck!

soo to the setup question a bit more in detail now ( i am high af atm so sorry when i am a bit dizzy writing )

11l Smartpots
Plagron Soil mixed with 30% coco some guano and some wormecasting
organic bottled nutes (biobizz)
as rooting agent i take a tea from pasture leaves (worked out for me better than any root complex ...)

Yeah agree with you i think i will wait with the sativas till my light update in summer ( 2x ledpannels with 50w each will come to help the hps a bit and get better spectrum )

its so hard to just grow out a real keeper and you cant keep ^^ i missed a real awesome pheno of somango this time(smells like ripe mango and fruitpunch with phat dense nugs and was ready in just 55 days) cause i had no vegging space. Spoke with my gf and she gave me ok for another little veg space now so after the summer i finally can also keep my genetics running for longer.

Ahhh so much looking forward to start my first sativa grow by myself a friend of mine growed some really awesome malawi last time that banged my head away that lead me to ace and got me hard starving on their straiins ^^

Hey P. Good choice to go with the Malawi, Nepaljam and the Kali. I would still veg to reasonable height and bushyness, then just bend the tops over. I think they perform better when a little more mature with a decent root system . Good luck with your grow.

for sure think i will at least top half of them to see how they like it the rest will get some serious lst for about 3-4 weeks that should also work with about 10-11 weeks of flower that the temps in the end dont get crazy

I look forward to seeing your grow mature. I have 2 seeds of Panama and 2 Zamaldelica from last summers grow. I was told today by Dubi of another grower in the forum that runs 12 / 12 from seedling with very good results. (keeping height down, good yields) I will try this with mine for summer grow. Hope this helps. good luck! Peace

I second that you should veg long enough to develop the primary root system and give them a nice bush before blooming or else not to expect much in the way of yield.
