Hey all

Wanted to share a little ace love I am crafting outdoors. The lineup is a little mixed, I am trying to stagger harvest windows from mid October through February. Some of the plants were held as bonsai mothers indoors, and thus are not in that great of shape...... but are recovering!! I have a few late season adds that will transfer outdoors soon.

The climate here its very rough, American southwest at approx 32° N latitude. Very hot, very dry. Some of the plants are small as a result of me just not being able to water enough in the crazy hear. Monsoon season soon, so cross my fingers that will rally them before flowering begins.

The line up:

Panama (inside seedling right now)
Golden tiger chang mai (inside right now)
Zapateca Tribute Oaxaca x Big Sur Holy Bud/weed
Oaxaca IBL (Cryptic Labs)
Manipur Burma (Indian Landrace exchange)
Temple x BSHW (docd)

Others not super related, rainbow driver & bandaid haze bx3, will show up in pics but not focused on too heavy.

Here we grow for variety and quality, not volume. So intentionally some plants are kept small.

Much love. Thanks to all the folks working hard to develop, refine, and deliver interesting and fun genetics to the masses. So much love.

Oaxaca IBL- recovering from a little transplant shock. These girls like really really light soil, I killed 4x before these two, mostly by over rich soil. They are also sensitive to heat.

I like to start before summer solstice so plants can grow at least a bit under increasing photoperiod before July, although it is never late if happiness is good i think you say in English @Ncali :huggg:with such sun, enough water and good soil, plants should thrive like crazy in your climate!

Hi dubi!!

Yes, I agree whole heartedly. I do not like to start after solstice, I think the plants are much much happier starting earlier. However, for us the heat and bugs are extreme in summer. Not every plant reacts well to them. So sometimes, the losses from stress, males, or intersex, means some plants that are culled need to be replaced.

This year I replaced them with hearty good strains from Ace that I KNEW would be OK outdoors and have good performance. Even in late start. Golden tiger I know will just continue to grow in vegetative state for a few months regardless of light cycle, and Panama I hope will just do well with her inate vigor. It is a nice comfort knowing some cultivars will just thrive regardless of conditions, because of thier rigorous breeding hahaha. Thank you ACE!! Now it is my job to help them do the best given the conditions.

MUCH LOVE

In France, we have the habit of starting / putting out after the ice saints - May 11, May 12, and May 13 - so it give a month to grow before solstice !

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Saints
In parts of the Northern Hemisphere, the period from May 12 to May 15 is often believed to bring a brief spell of colder weather in many years, including the last nightly frosts of the spring. Pupils of Galileo confirmed this weather pattern for the years 1655-70 and reported a marked cold snap over the days of the Ice Saints. However, in 1902 William Dines, President of the Royal Meteorological Society, used modern statistical techniques to demonstrate that the Ice Saints were a myth, brought about by selective reporting. On the other hand, a review of Kew Gardens data from 1941 to 1969 showed that 13 May was usually the warmest day of the month, and was followed by a sharp drop in temperature. ..

Oaxaca beautiful plants

Manipur burma... first time I've grown her with normal leaves. Fair to say she thrives outdoors, not yet acclimated to indoor low wattage lights

Outdoor updates, I did not do my best work this year. So many balls of life to juggle, sadly outdoor grow has suffered.

Zap tribute harvested today, very piney and citrus smells, very intoxicating from just the smell. Mouth watering. Single big cola type, unexpected. Might be errors in grow or not ideal conditions, late delivery outdoor, et al. It is too hot here, I'm still not used to growing outdoors here. I need more tricks, or a climate control greenhouse haha.

The Gt chang mai x malawi is like 7 feet tall. Malawi does not show up much in the growth traits of gt3, unlike gt2 & gt1. But, we like Thai so.... yay! I hope she finishes well.
