Acclimating clones to shorter photoperiods.

I bought some clones back in early May and put them on an 18/6 light schedule. A couple of days ago I reduced the time by 15 minutes and today I reduced the time another 15 minutes so they are now on a 17.5/6 schedule. I plan on reducing the light by 15 minutes every 2-3 days until I reach 15/6 and then holding there until its time to go outside.

Is the 15 minute time reduction every 2-3 days going too fast?
