Acclimate?

Hi mates, well, i want to acclimate a marihuana to my lattitude, clima, etc... Im thinking about long flowering strain (like thailand).
The problems is that i cant be abble to find anithing in the forum, may be because my english is bad and i dont put the correct word.

I think one way is to acclimate variety, but i dont know how to proced (that is the principal rason because i write this post)

The other way is to mix with other genes, but if i do it, in the next generations i dont know if i can be able to keep the important caracteristics of the plant (efects)

Depends on what you have. You say you have a marihuana. So you mean you only have one plant or many seeds? If one plant you have to outcross to another plant/variety and look for the early traits in the offspring. If seeds, you can grow these seeds out and again look for early traits in the results. Select the early ones and self pollinate them or cross with each other. Then evaluate.

Thanks Guy Brush. For the moment only one plant...i need to germ old seeds and see how it goes.

If i pollinate preflowers the plant descendenci has more posibility of to be faster? Seems logic to me but i dont know if its real.

And only aproximated, How many generations i need to wait to get some that can be smoke? 1  , 2  , 3 :chin: or more generations (with a little number of plants of course)

For the moment with your tips i got something to do :good:

If you have just one thai plant it won't be easy to acclimate because they just don't finish early enough in higher latitudes to produce seeds with another plant as pollen donor. I think you would need a heatable greenhouse then - or first make an indoor run with her to make enough seeds which you can test out later outside. I didn't quite understand what you meant with preflowers. You want to fertilize them to save time? It's possible but they probably won't produce enough seeds for testing. With the right early flowering strain as male partner you should have earlier flowering plants in the first filial generation already, which is called a f1 hybrid generation which is uniform for the most traits but it wont be stable in f2 if you cross them again without further selection for early and other traits.

EDIT: If you meant to fertilize preflowers in the hope that the offspring would be earlier flowering, then no.
