I broke one of the stems of my plant a bit (not completely) here's an explaining pic:

I suported it by placing immediately something under the stem..will she make it? Can it grow back? (2 days into flower)

It'll be ok, just take care theres some support there, it'll recover faster than you know..

Nice plant dre86, no problem at all with that stem breaking, sometimes I do that on purpose to control the height of the plant. You will notice that mj plant will heal any kind of breakage wonderfully and without any problem. Anything short of actually tearing the stem off will be healed really well. A very neat protective "blob" will be produced by the plant in place of breakage, the plant will carry on with growing uninterrupted.

We tend to forget what marijuana plant actually is - a hemp weed, got the survival technique really well figured.

yep it revived, the leafs are pointing up+ new growth s created w00t !! strange but true..

I broke a main shoot nearly in half when I dropped a CFL on it while I was installing my new HPS. It completely revived, but looks weird as all hell where the stem meets the stalk (where it broke).

You may wanna lay off the ferts, that looks like it's on the verge of being burnt

Well believe or not you just SuperCropped your plant, it will force the lower part of the plant to catch up to the upper part wich results in lower and fuller canopy.
If you want to keep it as is for some donkey dick cola action just cut a drinking straw down it's side and use that as a splint for the stem, it will still force the lower shoots to catch up and slow the top down though.

You should be fine, I have broken many of plants that way on accident. Just tie her up very well with twine and cloth. So that the string don't cutt into the plant. Good Luck

Holdin' how long did it take approx. to revive?

I'd say to completely get the... fracture... back to normal it took about 1.5 - 2 weeks. There were signs of new bud growth already in a couple days though.

I could be wrong though, I didn't really keep track.

We all do it time to time. I LST and had tied one down yesterday - I was all careful and gentle. Bent her hortizonal in hopes of pleasing the Ganja Gods and being rewarded with extra colas, you know - that song and dance. All was fine, she was even still a bit soft and flexible. I come back the next day to check things and lo and behold, she snapped near main grow the tip!!!!

No worries, I guess she didn't want to do the hortizonal bump with me. My offering to the Ganja Gods was rejected. She'll just grow normally, except for the unintentional topping done by the midnight doobie faeries.

thank you for the heads up. the woman scared the poo out of me!! i LST the girl. went to her calling one night. tightened her up alittle. was feeling pretty good about what i did to her. next day go down to see if i opened up her insides enough and low and behold the gods decided to splt her....(damn them i thought). but from reading this bit, seems to be that actually the ganja gods might be blessing me. love those gods who work in mysterious ways.thanks again ganjalord, and dre86 for starting this thread. for pics goto thread weenies big show.
