AC requirements for a 5k watt quantum board room

High everybody, I'm new to the forum but not new to cultivation. I have about five years of indoor experience and twenty five years of outdoor experience. It's been about a decade since my last indoor grow. That one was done in an uninsulated attic and on the cheap, with 800 watts of non-air-cooled HIDs and predictable results.

My new scene: I'm setting up a 10x25x7.5 room in my basement. It will be sealed, CO2 enriched, upper 3 feet are above ground facing South with no shade, but well insulated. It's a finished basement, has central ac (space pack, to be specific). The basement has three small sliding windows. So far the most powerful window unit I've been able to find which will fit these windows is a 14000btu. I doubt that's enough to get the job done, even with the fact that I'm running LEDs and injecting CO2. I've read that the plants can tolerate higher temps under LEDs than they would under HIDs of equal intensity but this will be my first time using them so I have no clue. I'm shooting for 85°with the lights on.

I'm thinking that my options are:
1) two window units, possibly one smaller than the other, running constantly to help dehumidify.
2) bust out more cash for a mini split (I've already expanded my budget twice and I haven't even popped a seed).
3) start with the single 14k btu ac and add one later if necessary--and there is a slight chance that it won't be, given the x-factor of central ac. Though in truth, I'll be starting with no ac, as I live in northern Il and my cooling will be accomplished via intake fans up until around April. Speaking of which, am I going to be wasting CO2 by bringing in cold air? I think not, as long as my room is pretty well sealed, but I'd love to hear your opinions.

Thoughts?

so is that 12 trays of 4x4 total?
28k should be enough in there here in the se usa
in my basement its about 68-72 year round
its got a whole wall under ground
you will most likely be running 480h based lights because thats what meanwell makes
so that means about 10 lights at 4800 watts
they do 600 watt supplies too , but a bit more money for the same light

i build my lights using 96pc 2' samsung strips that do 9000 lm a strip at ~64 watts a stick
i can do a custom spectrum from 2.7 to3.5 to 5k and use a slightly overlongheatsink to passivley handle that heat , ie the heatsinksusa 2.0079 prfile at 26" is juuuusst enough to handle all of the power and i just let the room fans blow into the open frames to keep it cool

yes , leds DO make running hotter ok - like up to 84 ok

especially running co2 they will love the hlgs

not saying do 84-just that u dont need as much watts as youd think coming from hps
remeber a watt is a watt so 4800 watts of heat is the same heat as hps heat to an ac unit

u will need a dimmer maybe - and all the ceiling space cause u dont run em as close as you would think
10 of those hlgs over 10 4x4s would KILL

u will never look back

heres my vertical light from my run in 18
this is not exactly what im building
but close - idk if im doing vertical again
but that center strip is what im buidling around 10 of those on a frame running at 60watts on the meanwell 600hlg
passively cooled
im thinking 4' by 4 foot 5 strips per side or most likey 26' x 48" frames for a 4x4 tray which would mean ~ 90000 lms evenly spread over that tray - comes out to ~$400 per 10 light unit 2' units are much easier to work with plus you can setup the distance as needed

the thing is bro - edit : watt = 3.4 btu or therabouts or ~13kbtu for 4800w lights so yeah

Hey thanks for the replies guys!

I went with the two 14000 btu window units. These nice LG dual inverter ACs. I haven't had the outside temps to really put them through their paces yet, but I will say this for sure: I've never heard such a quiet window unit. Two of them running at the same time, and they're still practically inaudible.

I'll know for sure how good they are soon enough: summer is on the way, I'm getting ready to flip the light cycle and move the dimmers up to full power.

Boyd, to answer your question, I'm using the hlg 600s. Eight of them. And if my air conditioners prove to be more than capable of handling the situation, I have floor space for another two, maybe three.

Nice lights, btw. Wish I had the skills to build my own!
