AC located directly above plants?

I am thinking about installing a 8-10K BTU ac unit in a 6wx10lx7h(420 cubic feet)(I did not plan it it just worked out that way, but I like it)
The babies are nestled in there pretty good and as they grow they pack the room nicely; lightly touching 3 walls.
I want to mount this unit up high and to one end of the room for easy duct running.
My question is will the cold air "fall" and effect the plants; making them too cold?
I have great air movement in the sealed room

As always, any advice appreciated and good advice and directions on where to find info greatly appreciated...

thanks again

You should all ways try to put the ac up high. This is ware all the hot air is. And as far as the air "falling" on the plants, I don't think that is going to be an issue. You don't want the cold air to blow directly on them(unless you want purple stress). The air might hit the opposite wall and blow on the plants but you can try running it on low. But with 6 or 10 feet I think you will be fine.

just make sure you dont have the air blowing on them. I have stunted plants this way and learned the hard way..

I could be wrong as its been awhile since I've taken any kind of physics but:
As the air is cooled it loses density and will fall toward the floor, and the warm air will raise up toward the ceiling. What you don't want to happen is for the air to blow directly onto the plants as this will cause issues. The other thing you want to watch out for is your ventilation exhausting out the cool air before it can cool the room.
